The Ferry House

The apartment is clean, well-furnished, and equipped with everything you need. It is situated in an excellent location for visiting the city, in a very quiet residential neighborhood.

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment and I loved it!!! It was such a comfortable and roomy stay. The rooms were very comfortable, bathroom is spacious, and small kitchen was stocked with supplies great for prepping a light meal. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood that’s a short walk to the water taxi or from the closest bus stop. To be honest, I originally meant to book the one bedroom however, after a hike at mt. Rainier, I don’t think I could make it up some more stairs. Glad I didn’t end up switching. Maybe for a longer stay.

The front door to the apartment is easy to use but when closing, sometimes you need to give it an extra pull or push for it to “happy” lock. Otherwise not a big deal. When heading to or from the water taxi, you’ll have a steep decline or incline and it has poor lighting at night. The roads aren’t busy but just be cautious if you’re wearing dark colors.

The living space was clean and comfortable with a peek-a-boo view of downtown Seattle. Very comfortable king bed and nice kitchen.

Very little... One of the towel hooks on the bathroom door needed repair and a couple of drawers in the bedroom closet might have added some convenience with limited storage, but terrific space.

The beds were amazing. Everything was clean. Hostess returns and addresses issues quickly.

The pictures make this place look so much nicer than it really is. While it was very clean it is very dated. This place is not suitable for travelers with any type of mobility issues. A set of stairs that are only visible in 1 picture IF you click on the picture we’re horrible. Very very steep, narrow steps and concrete is in poor condition.It was a night mare bringing our luggage up. Dishes are about 6 1/2 feet up. Instead of fixing the issue they provide a step stool none of us were brave enough to stand on. Our bedroom window wouldn’t stay on the track and the only way to “fix” it was to go outside. The “table” is hard to describe but very uncomfortable with very tall chairs. Similar to office chairs on stilts. They felt like they might shoot out from under you on that kind of flooring. No one in my group is handicapped just older. There were other little things but I reached out and there was nothing they would do.

Nice quiet location, with nice touches like boardgames

Downstairs apartment (2 bedroom) is not as bright and spacious as the upstairs one (1 bedroom), so check which you are getting at the time of booking

Super cute and cozy. The ferry access is awesome and it's tucked away enough that it's really quiet and still close to the city! This is only a personal thing! I love soft couch blankets, but the ones there were still wonderful! Absolutely amazing!
