The Ferry House

Nothing. The owner of this property did not send the door code prior along with check-in instructions prior to our arrival as mentioned in the listing. I tried contacting the property owner the day of check in and they did not respond to email or telephone call. We ended up having to get a hotel room. It's a week later and the owner of this property still has not responded to my request.

It's just my opinion, I liked everything. But I was really scared about the glass table that could be dropped on the floor by my kids. Also, it's 2 floor, and you have neighbors downstairs. The really well equipped house, but add the screw , please. We changed batteries in the fireplace and used something to unscrew. Overall, we have had a good stay.

Fantastic location - and well equiped for my week's stay. It was easy (if a bit steep) walking distance to the water taxi to Seattle and the eateries and shops of West Seattle (I <3 breakfast at Easy Street Records). Beautiful views of Seattle, and I was lucky to see have a couple of fine weather days to appreciate the lovely views. A lovely walk along the sound to Alki Beach, was rewarded with a view to the Olympic Mountains.

Nothing terrible, but a few suggestions. The furnace(?) was a little bit noisy. Also, I only had one dishwasher tablet for a week's stay, which was probably just an oversight and seemed like too trivial thing to bother the owner about (and I'm willing to admit that I may have generated more dishes than most). Also could have done with an ottoman to stretch our legs while sitting on the couch There is a short flight of stairs from the parking area to the apartment, and the walk to the ferry is down (or up) a steep hill, which was fine for me (moderately fit), but might be a concern for people with mobility issues or in icy weather. Also, could have done with some guidance on using the thermostat - pretty sure I didn't need the heating by the end, the weather was so nice :-)

Loved the location it was away from city busyness but only a short ferry ride in. Was lovely to walk along waters edge to coffee shop in morning. The home was well equiped and very comfortable. In fact we enjoyed our stay so much we are back here for another couple of days on our way home!
