The Chill House

Brilliant hostel. Hostel owner is also the manager who lives on site with his family. Very friendly cheerful atmosphere created by his hospitality and effort to make sure guests interact with each other. Owner also more than willing to help organise activities and transport at an honest price. Would certainly come again :)

Good location, right next to ferry station, multiple restaurants and cafés around. There's a nice rooftop to hang out. The private room was comfortable, with AC, and hot bucket shower (although hot water was not turned on the first night so we couldn't use it). The manager was very kind, helped us with laundry and bus timings, and recommended some places around.

😊 I spent 10 days at The Chill House, and it truly felt like a hidden gem in Fort Kochi. The moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and kindness that made me feel instantly at ease. The space was always clean, calm, and full of positive vibes — perfect for relaxing or meeting like-minded travelers. Every corner felt thoughtfully cared for. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind. I’d return without a second thought.

It was my first time stay @Chill House and as the name it is truly a Chill house with such a wonderful host Niaz bhai, so helpful and sociable person. Since I enjoyed my stay, I extended for one more day. I was also invited to Pandhal Cafe for a Saturday jamming with spectacular display of drummers etc..I strongly recommend this place. I will return back again.Thank you Niaz bhai🙏

Honestly, staying at The Chill House felt more like visiting a relative than staying in a dorm. From the moment I walked in, I was treated like family; so warm, welcoming, and genuine. As a solo traveler, that kind of connection meant everything. The whole vibe was super relaxed and friendly, and I felt right at home straight away. The place was very clean and spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed. You can tell they really care about the little details. For a short stay in Fort Kochi, this was perfect, great people, great energy, and absolutely worth the price. I’d come back in a heartbeat and would recommend it to anyone, especially solo travelers looking for a homey spot to recharge.

The owner is so kind! He lent me a raincoat and even though it was past check-out time, he let me sleep in the bed.

The location is perfect — tucked away just enough to be peaceful, yet within easy walking distance to the beach, ferry, and all the charming spots around Fort Kochi. The hostel is spotless and thoughtfully designed, with both dormitories and private rooms available. This gives you the best of both worlds — a sociable hostel atmosphere if you're looking to meet fellow travelers, and the privacy and comfort of your own room if you're a more mature traveler or prefer a quieter stay. The beds were super comfy, the AC worked well, and each room had its own bathroom, which was a big plus. The rooftop area was a personal favorite — perfect for relaxing, doing yoga, or meeting other guests. Wi-Fi was strong and reliable, and the shared kitchen was great for cooking your own meals. Pro tip: If you're arriving by metro, get off at Elamkulam Station — it's the closest stop and only about a ₹50 auto ride to the ferry jetty that takes you straight to Fort Kochi. Whether you're traveling solo, with friends, or as a couple, The Chill House is a fantastic base to explore the best of Fort Kochi. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be back!

I made the mistake of getting off at Aluva train station and its quite far away so dont make that mistake
