From arrival to leaving this stay was exceptional with impeccable cleanliness, super friendly staff & food was Michelin star standard. An incredible place & will be revisiting again

Continental breakfast was good

Restaurant had closed when we arrived, which was disappointing as it was 7.30pm on a Sunday. Menu looked really good though.

Food was fabulous!

Only comment we could make, was that the bedroom and bathroom were cold on arrival, heater was supplied, but radiator in bedroom was leaking and had to be put on, but bathroom one wasn't, so cold first thing.

The location was exactly where we needed it, half way between our house and my sister's! There were plenty of very helpful staff for our dinner and the restaurant was not busy so we had great attention. But it was plain that all the wait on staff worked well as a team and nothing was to much trouble. They were all chatty and had a good sense of humour. Altogether very friendly. The lady at breakfast was a delight to talk to and clearly loves working at this establishment, and has a high regard for the management. It was a lovely atmosphere. The pub was very busy and buzzy despite there being few guests in the dining room.

Being a Friday morning, it was a Continental Breakfast, which was fine. I had a Bacon Bap which I have to say was average at best and had I known it was to be so I would not have had it, irrespective of cost, it was poor. I guess it was helpful to be offered it in the absence of a full cooked breakfast but actually in my view it didn't work. I just wanted a poached egg on toast perhaps with bacon but I can understand that perhaps that is not viable on a weekday but what we had was entirely adequate.

Breakfast was excellent as was supper the previous evening. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere in the bar the previous evening.

Bedroom could have had better lighting and perhaps a table.
