Incredible experience - I severely underestimated just what the property offered. Amazing part of the island, incredible grounds, the pool is fantastic and the hobbit bar is truly a gem of the island. Amazing breakfast provided, and extremely peaceful and tasteful decor.

I feel like at this price point the daily cleaning should be the standard opt-out hotel approach and not the other way around. The breakfast ingredients delivery should happen in the afternoon in case you want to go on an early morning activity and again it should be opt-out if you aren’t a breakfast person. Right now you have to ask every day for more food or cleaning and we couldn’t do that because you can do that only during business hours and we usually left early and returned late. There were also a lot of insects in the house which is to be expected in this garden setting but my wife wasn’t a fan so keep that in mind when booking.

An incredible place with an ocean view. Very quiet, stunning interior design, lots of beautiful little details — tableware, decor, lighting. Excellent large swimming pool with a depth of 1.5 metres along its entire length. There is a small pool for children.

The location is incredible, total peace and relaxation. It feels like a little bit of paradise on Madeira.

I wish someone would have replaced the breakfast food. I asked at the shop for replacements but was made to feel want we were given was the full stay which seemed odd.

Amazing! Beautifully designed and well equipped. Spacious for our family of 4. Loved the pool and the hobbit bar too. Enjoyed picking herbs from the garden and the company of the cats.

The hosts were very hands off. We didn’t mind but others might. The delivered eggs were amazing but it would have been useful to have a better stocked shop and local bread for breakfast. I would also share with guests the amazing coffee shop in Ponto de Pargo. We bought local bread from the coffee shop and the cakes and coffee were amazing! An iron would be nice. But honestly these are all minor points :-)

We loved everything about it. It was an oasis of peace and comfort. The whole design of the buildings and garden were amazing. Such thoughtfulness went into all of it. And the personnel were lovely and kind.
