Casas da Levada

5/5 Stars Our stay at Casa de Levada was truly beyond our expectations! The house itself was absolutely adorable, but the outdoor space was what really made it special. The beautiful gardens, infinity pool, Hobbit bar, and farm animals all came together to create a magical atmosphere that we never wanted to leave. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and the property was immaculately maintained. We were constantly discovering new and delightful touches, from the vibrant flowers to the friendly farm animals. The freshly baked bread in the morning was a treat, and the breakfast was simply amazing. We loved every bite! We loved every moment of our stay and would highly recommend Casa de Levada to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience.

The most authentic property I’ve ever stayed - absolutely amazing in every way. So special.

The friendly people and stunning property with all needs met. The bunnies and playground and pool and bar! Such a gem.

Lovely garden and pool area. Very sweet rabbits and my little boy enjoyed watching the other animals that are very nicely looked after. Amazing views out to sea and of the sunset and really nice to be able to pick produce from the garden. Hugely spacious accomodation with comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. We all slept very well, apart from when the cockerel woke my husband very early every morning. Generous breakfast provision. Some beautiful planting and selection of flowers.

We stayed in the two bedroom yellow house. It could do with some maintenance such as areas that needed repainting, sofa a little tired and a bad smell from one of the toilets that did seem to improve after it was highlighted. Although the overall design is very nice, there are some pieces of furniture and decor that seem to jar a little with the overall scheme, upstairs was much better, but considering the fairly high price for the area these can make it seem a little less design led than you might expect from the great website. The prices in the shop and bar are unfortunately too high to be able to enjoy them on a whim. I think it would be much better to offer some cheaper local alternatives that would mean that the beautiful bar area got a lot more use! There didn’t seem to be much to do in walking distance. We had a car and quite a full itinerary, so this was not a major concern for us however. Last year’s forest fires had left the surrounding hills feeling a little barren unfortunately, and the many of the garden trees seemed to be struggling which was a shame. My husband is a tree surgeon and thought that they may have been pruned a little too harshly.

We felt so relaxed staying at Casas da Levada. The pool was cold so we loved jumping in after warm hikes. The hobbit house bar is beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and overall you feel so immersed in nature.

The hotel is located in a very pastoral and picturesque place and they welcomed us very nicely. I recommend taking more than one night to enjoy it and get a good experience and the staff is just great. We will be back again!

Everything was super lovely and magical a piece of heaven on earth just the perfect place to have a break and relax and enjoy your time far away from the rush of daily life

The distance

It was the perfect departure from the city scape we had been in the weeks prior. Unbelievably serene. All the necessary accoutrements to make you feel like you’re at a boutique resort.

The Casa consist of a number of separate small houses surrounded by a beautiful garden and swimming pool (infinity pool, really nice). Our space was quite lovely, with lots of nice places to sit. We loved it!

It was a great stay, so no dislikes here.

Magical setting, great for relaxing after a day of exploring Madeira. Wish I could have stayed longer. We saw the best sunset from the pool. It's just as beautiful in person as it is in the photos

The Casas de Levada accommodation in Madeira is a real gem. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the view of the ocean, which is simply breathtaking. And the accommodation exceeded all expectations: it was clean, spacious and extremely homely. I would especially like to highlight the hospitality of the hosts, who paid attention to every little detail and ensured that we felt the best possible. The environment is extremely relaxing, a perfect place for complete recharge and relaxation. I can only recommend the Casas de Levada accommodation to anyone visiting Madeira. We will definitely be back!
