Lovely location, lovely property

I do like my bedroom dark. Sadly the blinds in the main bedroom let a lot of light so I was awake very early.

Beautiful setting, great facilities and comfy.

A bit hot up in the eaves! But plenty of windows to open.

The apartment above the barn was relatively new, modern, stylish and cozy. We felt absolutely at home. The owner handed us the keys and was very nice and helpful. You could only reach the bedroom "upstairs"using a ladder, and you couldn't really stand up, but for kids it must be a nice adventure to sleep there. The main bedroom was perfect.

We didn't really like the fact that you could only take a bath and not shower.

I loved how private and exclusive the property felt. The hosts were evidently the owners and we were shocked but humbled that the owners actually cleaned and arranged the properties themselves! Very kind, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble when asking for recommendations locally for food and drink. We were left all the things anyone would need that have just arrived for a weekend or couple of nights away. Tea, coffee, sugar, bread, milk, butter and jam! What a lovely touch and made our welcome much easier as we did not have to rush out! Tesco situated only 4 minutes away was also great! Little shampoos, soaps etc in the bathroom were a plus and used them all in the two nights we were there so perfectly stocked! The land was well manicured, gardeners maintaining the hedges as we arrived and robo lawnmowers trimming the lawns. I have to say i could've watched these for hours! It was lovely that all the accommodations had their private terrace gardens, ours specifically over looking beautiful meadows, boasting of a log fire pit area. Little horses to watch and safe parking around the corner by the beautiful new stables. We watched the swallows nest as well as red kite fly over. It was the most beautiful weather. We really enjoyed ourselves! It is just an awful shame our purpose of visit will not bring us back more frequently, being that we stayed to go to stonehenge for summer solstice. Only 35 mins away!

Only thing i can really say is the ceiling height and access to the upstairs is a little touch and go! The ladder made me nervy but it was cool to have this upstairs room! Obvious that it will be a lower ceiling - more for others (not that this phased me) be mindful of whom you intend to have stay up there! It would benefit from another black out blind in the skylight close to the stairs to block out any other light of the evening. Otherwise you would need to shut all the blinds downstairs. I can't complain for anything though honestly - it was well stocked with plenty of plates, cutlery, cups and mugs.

Lovely accommodation, very clean ideal for short stay!!

Just little note the mezzanine staircase is pretty hard to use,we we're with my elderly Mum,luckily there's a bedroom on the lower floor,she would not have managed the mezzanine stairs otherwise, just be aware of this!
