Hotel Peru Real

The staff were responsive when I called and requested a taxi ride to pick us up from the airport and take us to the hotel. All staff were very welcoming and friendly. John cooked us breakfast in the morning, which was delicious. Water in the showers warmed up and stayed warm thankfully. Convenient location to walk to stores, restaraunts, etc. They gave us extra warm blankets to keep us warm during the night which was very helpful and appreciative. Very flexible with check in and check out times.

The beds were a little stiff.

The Hotel owner spoke good English, and was very considerate and outgoing to my requirements, something rare is Cusco. He was very friendly, and they even had free tea in the lobby which, while a small gesture, meant a lot.

Shower took a long time to heat up, only one plug in the bedroom. Neighbourhood is far away from the main areas, and seemed a bit dodgy, but good for one night as I needed to be close to the station. You get what you pay for.

So grateful for the kind and attentionate staff when I was feeling ill, they went the extra mile to help me with medical appointments and brought me lots of tea, muchas gracias!

Problem with hot water in the shower
