Modern Design Studio Apartment In Riga Center

Very central apartment, fully furnished. Quiet street with only occasional noise. Comfortable bed. It is small but there were places to hide suitcases away, we just tried to keep everything tidy.

I didn't like being sent a text to my personal mobile asking what time I was leaving at. The checkout is midday and the notification received the day before confirmed this, with a request to let the host know if we were leaving early. We weren't, so I didn't reply. So was annoyed to receive a text message asking again. I replied in the app to say we were leaving before checkout time but didn't receive a response. Communication should be via the app only, didn't like my personal mobile being used for such purposes. Felt very Airbnb. We were only given the code to enter the apartment a few hours before, even though an email via the app said we'd receive the code the day before.

Nice apartment within walking distance to the Old Town and all of the main sights and attractions. Very close to a bus stop that takes you to and from the airport. Clean apartment with all the amenities you could need for a short stay. Netflix on TV was a nice touch, as we could enjoy a show in the evening before bed.

It was quite hard to locate the property, it is not the spot that Google maps shows. However, the host was able to kind of guide us using WhatsApp. Could be more information on the listing or from the host in initial correspondence to advise that Google/Apple Maps takes you too far down the street. Otherwise no issues.

Great location, walking distance away from any points of interest, warm and cozy. Nice, kind host, good communication, perfect for a short stay.

There was no toilet paper which isn't that much of an issue, but it's not exactly great having to buy it for such a short stay, also the kitchen area could use some paper towels because it's tiny and there's nowhere to dry dishes if you use them - the cups were quite dirty when arriving, and there was no toilet paper or paper towels to dry them after washing - minor nuisance.

The apartment was located near the city centre. It was small but cozy and very clean.

The host was quite unresponsive when I tried messaging her. If I didn't write to her how I can check-in I wouldn't know. Even after I have gotten directions it was hard to find the right entrance as there are three different front doors at the same address. We got lucky that a nice lady helped us to find the correct front door. It kind of ruined overral experience in the apartment itself.
