Special shoutout to the team members Mohammed Ali for keeping our room nice & tidy and Harry from Star restaurant for providing excellent meal service. Beautiful house reef for snorkelling, stunning beach & nature. We stayed for new years eve which was an amazing buffet, I have never seen so much variety. Cute party with DJ and live band. New Years eve was lovely. Stunning sunset views at the main pool, the main pool was very big & nice to hang out at. We travelled during peak season, the hotel was apparently at full capacity but it never felt crowded. Megan the marine biologist was also very nice & knowledgable and the turtle snorkelling tour was a highlight of our trip. The buffet was also delicious with good variety every day.

The Maldives is, of course, a dream destination, and staying here is already amazing. That said, I feel like the hotel could offer better value for money, especially for a 5-star luxury resort. Rooms, Amenities & Service: The rooms were a bit outdated, and the service didn’t quite feel like it matched the 5-star promise. For example, we went on a snorkeling trip but didn’t see any sharks which was a separate charge. I completely understand that these things happen—it’s nature! But when the bill came, there was no acknowledgment of our disappointment. Instead of an apology or understanding, I was told, “you signed for this"- sitting in awkward silence until I settled the bill. At this price point, I’d expect a more thoughtful approach, like maybe offering another trip the next day free of charge or at least only charge half of the cost. Our host, Cyrus, also forgot to tell us about the meal credit option for dining at other restaurants. So, we ended up at the buffet every night. While it was a nice buffet, missing out on those other dining experiences was a letdown. We learned on our last night. I stayed in the Maldives before, where the host regularly checked in on you, unfortunately this did not happen here. The gym equipment is also quite old, and the departure lounge didn’t feel up to the standard you’d expect from a luxury resort. All in all, it’s still the Maldives, so it’s hard to complain too much—but for the amount we paid, I think a bit more attention to service and details would go a long way. Unfortunately we will not be returning.
