The Royal Hotel

Had a lovely view but was very small

This is a great little hotel in the middle of Stromness, at an excellent location. The room was small, but cosy. The staff was very friendly, and the cooked breakfast was delicious.

My room was on the second floor, but unfortunately there was no elevator. However, the porter helped me carrying my luggage up the stairs, so it was ok.

Solid hotel in Stromness. With the few options it is a decent choice. Besides the porridge the breakfast was pretty good.

The beds weren't the most comfortable and the walls are very thin (aka it's loud). Our toilet had little marks on it when we arrived that weren't cleaned off. The porridge for breakfast wasn't good.

The rooms are cozy. The pub is perfect. Breakfast is very complete and with very friendly staff.

Checking in at 3 pm is so very late.
