Milky Way Domes

Tout était parfait. Rien à dire, tout est bien organisé et bien expliqué. Les activités sont sympathiques.

Nous avions payé pour l’activité de glisse sur les dunes, mais aucune planche ne nous a été fournie, alors que d’autres groupes en avaient. Sans planche, l’activité n’a pas pu être réalisée correctement. Un peu déçus surtout pour les enfants..

What an experience: sleeping in the desert while still having the comfort of a toilet and shower with comfortable beds and AC! The bungalow was big enough, the beda nice and hard, the toilet and shower usable. The terrace with picnic set and lounge chairs was super handy and often in use. The breakfast at the main area was sufficient and tasty.

You could tell that the vast majority of guests only stayed on night: there was no housekeeping and after the first night and day there was sand laying EVERYWHERE in the room, it was not to avoid. But I guess that's also part of the experience ;)

Enjoyed driving through the sand to reach the pods and the astronomy talk after dinner.Slept well

The food was poor and not warm enough,however the oranges and the coconut cake were great.There were too many smelly cars roaring up and down the dunes,not good for the desert environment and they tuned their engines to create maximum noise

There are lots of desert camps that offer similar experience and Milky Way Domes has all of them - dune bashing, camel riding, etc. But the unique thing that this camp has which other don't is a stargazing session in the evening with an expert. Hamad was very friendly and knowledgable and gave a great talk about the stars with a cool laser pointer that made it seem like we were in a planetarium. An unforgettable experience I highly recommend.

Das ganze Umfeld ist sehr beeindruckend. Mit einem 4x4 ist es ganz leicht zu erreichen, weil man gesammelt hinter einem Guide herfährt. Man trifft sich an einem Haus im Ort vor der Wüste. Klappt super.

Man ist nicht auf Gäst eingestellt die zwei Tage dort sind. Tagsüber war nur Reinigungspersonal da und wir hatten nichtmal die Chance auf einen Kaffee. Ankunft war sehr nüchtern und es fehlte etwas an Gastfreundlichkeit und eine kleine Einführung was man so machen kann. Wir haben uns etwas verloren gefühlt. Die Domes gehören zu dem Camp Starry Domes und gehören direkt zu der gesamten Anlage. Das Essen war OK, mehr aber auch nicht. Den Unterkünften sieht man das alter schon an. Ich weiß wo die Unterkünfte liegen und mir ist auch klar das ich keinen Standard wie zuhause erwarten kann.

Il personale molto gentile e disponibile. La stanza era molto pulita e la vista meravigliosa, proprio sulle dune, bellissimo vedere l'alba direttamente dal letto. Nella camera era presente l'aria condizionata e le prese. La spiegazione dopo cena sulle costellazioni è stata molto bella e anche la bevuta de the omanita assieme alle altre persone. Le uscite sulle dune al tramonto e alla mattina sono state molto belle.

Such a luxury in the midst of a desert. The staff was very professional. Nice brekfast. Had the best experience with sunset dune bashing and star gazing lying by the swing. Must visit!
