"Three Queen Villa and Homestay is a very nice and relaxing place in a beautiful nook of Sumba."

8.0

Three Queen Villa and Homestay is located at the mouth of a river. You have a beautiful view of the bay. This is not a beach resort but the host will help you to reach any place you desire to visit, and there's plenty of that. You feel taken care of and the food served is good.

Bungalows are really nice and the owners are super sweet and helpful. Even in the remote place like this you feel like home.

"A wonderful trip, well beyond our expectations"

10.0

Lydia was a brilliant host, nothing was too much trouble, she, organised motorbikes for us as well as a car and driver for our trip back to the airport via a lovely beach club, also horse riding, advice on what to do and see, and she even spent time teaching my husband to cook some local dishes. Her children were absolutely delightful. The new swimming pool was great and will be amazing once the decking is finished. The rooms were extremely comfortable. If you really want to avoid the tourist crowds and spend some time in an incredible unspoilt location then this will be perfect for you. We would highly recommend getting round on the mopeds as it is the best way to see the absolutely stunning scenery (but be careful of potholes and slippery mud if it rains). Thank you Lydia, we had the best time 🙏

You will need to remember to pack some insect repellent for the mosquitos!

"Will absolutely recommend to anyone traveling in the area! Look forward to returning one day."

9.0

A fantastic place to spend our first days in Sumba. I wish we could stay for longer. The place is located near the end of the road just across from a beautiful beach. Great surf. Lydia and Brad (and their three queens) are amazing hosts and we felt so incredibly welcome there. All the other guests we met were also great. Felt like staying with friends. Food was delicious, the breakfast is simple but the grilled fish dinner is incredible. Room was comfortable and the AC works well.

Construction noise from the new pool, which was unfortunately just being built when we were there. Apparently it finished just a few days after we left... With the pool finished its going to be great.

"Hidden Paradise Farmlands Meets Secluded Jungle Beach, Greeted by Great Food & Vibes"

10.0

There are many personalities to this beach whose fine sands are forever simutaeneously sculpted by both the outgoing river interacting with the seashore and tides. The bungalows are charming both in style and function, with good AC and hot water. Well-rounded, tasty and healthy farm breakfast to fresh grilled fish dinners in an environment that reminds me of being in a tropical farmland adjacent to wilderness open oceans alive with abundance. To top it all off, the friendly and family-style hospitality is 2nd to none. with the owner providing genuine empathy, local authenticity, and an understanding of tourism and transportation logistics in these remote lands.
