San Karlu Hotel

It’s not as nice as their website or pictures make it. Yes on the whole it’s fine. Rooms are quite stuffy. Stale and damp. My clothes were permanently damp. I had several damp patches on walls and ceiling. Very warm as no air con in the winter. It was 22c and I had to request a fan. Housekeeping take forever to get to your room often came back from a day of sightseeing to my room not done. I’ve stayed in a few small hotels in Valletta before. I would honestly avoid this one in the future.

Hotel is in a great location, easily walkable to good restaurants in Valletta. Hotel is really lovely, with modern and clean facilities.

Amazing stay at san Karlu with dedicated staff very careful for guests and easily reachable by WhatsApp during the stay. They prepare the room for my father's birthday and were helpful for any request. Improvement shall be done to maintain a good level of cleaning for long stays, not changing systematically the plates at breakfast would lower the washing volume. Furthermore staff needs to be more informed about the touristic activities to better guide the clients. Pretty well located the hotel offers all commodities and is quiet !

Personnel très agréable Chambre manquant de rangements surtout horizontaux Dommage l’absence de pain frais au petit déjeuner alors que nous en avons mangé de l’excellent dans les restaurants autour Celui de l’hôtel paraît décongelé le reste est correct. Pour moi ne vaut pas 5 * un bon 3 *

Cleanliness, safety and staff professionalism.

I had a wonderful time staying at the San Karlu. Every employee I encountered was super friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The location was great and easily walkable. Very lovely breakfast in the morning.

The hotel is incredibly clean and private. Tucked away but conveniently nearby to bars and restaurants, although a bit steep. It is a boutique hotel so small but lovely facilities with very helpful staff. We would definitely return
