San Karlu Hotel

Outstanding staff!! All very attentive to our needs would it be for the breakfast, providing directions or advice. Breakfast was very good and they even offered a bag when we departed early at check out. Superb location; close to many restaurants and amenities and historical places. Be aware that the AC or heat is centrally controlled and if you book a room with a garden view, there is limited air circulation so the room might be a bit humid. Aside from that, immaculate room and staff. We recommend!

The property is very nice and great accommodating staff. The breakfast was good quality and plentiful. Our stay in April would not allow the cooling to work as the whole system is set to heating until it becomes “cooling season” not sure what that is but our first room was 25 degrees and didn’t get below 23 even with the window fully open

We had a lovely stay and had the room with the hot tub. This was great as it was too cold for a swim. Room is large and comfy bed slight smell from drain in bathroom so left the extractor fan on. Breakfast was great with large selection and staff very attentive. Great location in Valletta as quiet but easy to get to centre.

L'albergo è molto bello, sembra appena costruito e vale il denaro speso per l'ampiezza della camere, la cura dei particolari ecc. La colazione è ricca, a buffet. Ascensore interno.Piccola piscina sul tetto. Lo staff è gentilissimo. Unica osservazione: la posizione nel centro storico, a due passi dalla zona pedonale e dalle mura, rende necessario percorrere una scalinata per arrivare all'ingresso dell'hotel da entrambe le vie d'accesso alla Hall. Cioè, non si arriva in auto/taxi davanti all'ingresso dell'hotel e questo secondo me va precisato prima di prenotare.Questa è un'informazione che non mi risulta fosse scritta nella descrizione ne nelle recensioni.

Great hotel in excellent location. Very modern and 5 min walk from the centre woth an abundance of fab restaurants.

Hotel was clean and well located in a quiet location only a short walk to the busy centre of Valletta. Also Gendus bus stop (for the Airport bus) was less than 5 minutes walk away. Breakfast was very good, although space was very small so best to go at quieter times. However, a word of caution when booking a courtyard view room. Our room was incredibly dark with a tiny window in the corner which let in almost no natural light at all; this make the room cavernous. Also, the hotel do not turn the A/C on in March so the room was incredibly hot and stuffy with no way to make it comfortable which caused bad quality of sleep. Whilst the hotel was in a good condition and location with a good breakfast, I would recommend not booking a courtyard view room if you stay here.

Hotel an sich nicht schlecht - jedoch aus meiner Sicht keine 4 Sterne. Die Zimmer waren an sich gut und schön eingerichtet, jedoch sehr klein und sehr laut. Die Fenster zur Straße hin waren sehr gut - jedoch wurde mehrmals bereits ab 07:00 auf dem Gang gearbeitet und sich lautstark unterhalten (keine Gäste). Die Türen waren sehr hellhörig. Des Weiteren roch das Bad sehr stark nach Abfluss. Nach mehrmaligen Hinweise hatte sich hier leider nicht viel geändert. Ansonsten Frühstück bis 10:30 Uhr war sehr gut - generell war das Frühstück ok - wenn auch von der Auswahl her etas begrenzt.

Even though I cancelled over the phone due to air Malta cancelling their flights I was still charged. They assured me over the phone I would not be charged

Buen hotel muy cerca del centro, zona tranquila. Muy amable el personal. La zona del desayuno un poco pequeña pero desayuno variado. La habitación es amplia con cama grande. Un gran detalle el albornoz y las zapatillas.

Really nice hotel, very friendly staff and within walking distance of attractions working Valletta. Rooms are very modern, clean and comfortable.
