Vang Vieng Freedom View Hostel

We quite like this place, although it is under repair, the price is really unplaimable. It seems that it has been completed now, they are in a hurry to clean up so there is no dirt in my stay

Great location, staff are very good. They’re fixing the lobby so the breakfast couldn’t work but 200K for a large room which was so nice totally forgot the other thinks.

The location is great, very central in Vang Vieng and it’s nice there is a pool available. Super nice personnel, Mr Tom and Mr Chai were always smiling and super friendly. Overall it was great value for money.

Don’t expect a five star hotel for this price - the facilities are fairly simple but good value for money.

Location and price excellent- cooked to order breakfast and fruit. I had a private room - ask for D9 or D10 room as they have the mountain view.

The mattress was so terrible and thin and worn that you could feel all the springs. The prices of all the tours were outrageous compared to what you can get on the street.

Amazing value for your money. I started off in a dorm but changed to a private room with a view. The bed was very comfortable. It’s definitely a no frills, simple and quiet hostel. But I did meet a few people here and they were all really cool and friendly. The free breakfast is really good and has several different options. Hostel is in a great location in the center of town. People working at reception are nice. The view from the top floor and rooftop is beautiful. Good shower with plenty of warm water and good pressure. I was able to book onward travel for the train through the hostel with a commission.

The tours here are more expensive than some other places. Toilet and shower is combined in the private room but that’s quite common.
