This cottage was perfect for our visit to Nagano. The cottage itself was comfortable, quite warm despite the cold winter swirling outside. The hosts were amazing. Home-baked bread and homemade preserves each morning, plus, egs, fruit, porridge, etc. Great advice for restaurants and trails to try out. The location is great. A short drive to Togakushi Ski Resort (a great locals mountain) as well as the trails to the Togakushi shrine. In a quiet little neighborhood, so virtually silent.

As the hosts make clear, because it is in a little neighborhood outside of Nagano, there is very little open in the evening. So, you must plan ahead and bring anything you need with you.

周辺の雪のおかげでロケーションが最高でした♪ 全ての設備が揃っているので食材さえあればのんびり過ごせます☺️ 家族5人で利用させてもらいましたがみんな大満足してたようです。 窓は全て2重サッシになっていて真冬でもオイルヒーターとファンヒーターだけですごく快適に暖かく過ごせました😀 戸隠のメインエリアまで車で5分程度なので戸隠神社参拝や戸隠蕎麦などをすぐに楽しめます。

This private cabin was the perfect getaway for a few days outside of Nagano. Hanako was very helpful in the weeks leading up to our visit and helped answer all my questions about winter logistics, where to buy food, and safe driving routes to get to the cottage in tough winter conditions. The cottage is cutely decorated and has everything you need for your stay. The futons were very comfortable and the bedding was extra warm which we appreciated! Some things to keep in mind are that you will need to do a supermarket buy before coming. But it's not too challenging if you plan for that. Also, if you have mobility issues, the bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom/shower is downstairs so keep that in mind. It wasn't an issue for us but it's good information to know when booking

Perfect overnight stay in Togakushi. Beautiful stunning scenery in a peaceful location. Hanako and Sujith are the kindest, they kindly shared a delicious meal with us and we enjoyed very much their company and the conversation. The place must look stunning in spring and autumn. It was wonderful under snow and blue skies. Hope to see you again !
