Vale House by Switchback Stays

The house was in a quiet area so you could relax at night, but close enough to shops and access to the city centre to be convenient. The house was clean and comfortable with good facilities.

I would prefer an adjustable shower head - the shower worked fine, it's just a personal preference. The small back bedroom didn't seem to have any electric sockets. This wasn't a massive problem, but it would be good to have some access to sockets in there.

Fridge wasn’t working my food want to waste and parking was a issue but everything else was good

Very spacious and clean. We got lost and communication was great from host. Lovely takeaway Indian restaurant just around the corner. Very close to town and ample parking.

The boiler in the back bedroom was a little noisy at night when trying to sleep on the first night.

It was very clean and homely. It had everything we needed. The information booklet was really useful and I loved that there was essentials like tea bags and shampoo etc there, as we arrived late in the evening.

Easy to get to. Very spacious and clean. There is free wifi and parking outside the accommodation. Overall a great place to stay.

There is one en-suite toilet and bathroom upstairs. No toilet downstairs.

Location to the left was intimidating

This place is very clean, well equipped, spaceous and comfortable. Great to have a garden. City center is a 30 min walk but there's a small supermarket around the corner; at 10 min walking distance there's a lively street with lots of restaurants and small shops. We had an excellent dinner at the Indian restaurant in that area. Free and easy parking. The comments in other reviews about rubbish in the streets don't make sense because that's just the garbarge/recycle system in Cardiff; also the comment about a missing socket in one of the bedrooms is nonsense, the socket is behind the bed. You just have to move the bed a bit from the wall. We had an excellent stay and felt very welcome. tip: don't forget to try the Cardiff cakes, they're very good.

Since there's a garden and a well working washing machine, a clothes airer would be great.
