Unfortunately the gold key snapped, but it was ok as the building door was always unlocked. Then the parking gate fob ran out of batteries, which was more troublesome as had to rely on kindness of neighbours to open gate for us. The messages explaining all this should all be on record but basically there was a lot of going back and forth and me having to repeat the issue, resulting in the fob and key not being sorted until our last day!

Excellent location. Well designed apartment with a nice mezzanine level bedroom.

Impossible to wash dishes effectively as there was no washing up bowl, the plug didn’t fit in the sink and no tea towels. I couldn’t open the windows. The owner had messaged that we had to pay a £150 damage deposit (extra to what we paid Booking.com) which would be returned afterwards if there was no damage. They also said that we could only park in one specified spot (number 15) and that if we parked in a different one we would forfeit the damage deposit. Not only were most of the car park numbers almost impossible to read, as they’d worn away, but when we eventually found number 15, another car was parked in it. I rang the number given, and was told to park in number 16 instead. After we’d arrived home, I checked my bank account and a second (unauthorised) amount of £150 had been taken out by the same firm. I queried this but didn’t get a satisfactory explanation- just a reply saying it may “still be refundable”. Fortunately, one lot of £150 was refunded 5 days after we’d returned home and the other lot was refunded three days after that. It was a worry and felt like some kind of scam. Although this apartment is pleasant enough, I really wouldn’t recommend booking it.

Too many small niggles eg lights not working, no tea towel etc.
