Into the Mystic

The most beautiful place I have ever stayed at. Directly on the beach. Truly the most amazing and relaxing getaway. Wish we stayed longer.

There was no wood or firelighters for the outdoor braai and indoor fireplace. Usually this is always a nice thing to add. We couldn’t use the indoor fireplace because the drive to get wood was quite a distance, which was a pity… The instructions for the alarm is unclear and false, the instructions on the paper never worked. Owner did say she will update it. Just a heads up. The shower is also not the greatest. Struggled with the water, kept coming out either just hot or just cold, and the shower head is not the same as advertised, the one we had was quite poor :( But regardless, we were extremely happy staying here and would definitely book this place again.

We were escorted to & shown around the property before being handed the keys.

Picture perfect.Right on the beach. Loved the location and it's proximity to restaurants and shops.No safety issues at all and even met the lovely owner Sanet who is a local and passionate about her seaside town and all it's people.Coming back soon!!

Amazing location... Couldn't have asked for better sunset views. The weather was perfect that said, unfortunately we cannot control that. Very well equipped cottage. Prefect for a few glasses of wine and a fun and happy evening around the braai. Paternoster is a small town, so it's very easy to get wherever you need to be with a mere 5 minute drive.

The gas geyser have endless issues, especially when showering. Previous guest reviews highlight the same issue... I hope that the priory has attended to this. Besides this, we cannot fault the venue 😁

It does look a bit like a dumping ground in the area behind the unit. The braai could be better. The drum is balancing on a cement block and you have to be seated to work on it.

Location. Amazing bed and crisp clean linen. Gas top stove for load shedding. Hammock chairs. All the quality little extras.

Into the Mystic is a well appointed cottage with a spectacular sunset view over the Atlantic. We had supreme calm weather for most of our stay a few days after spring tide, and it was somewhat surreal to have the ocean basically on the doorstep. Paternoster Waterfront is just around the corner with a good selection of restaurants, as well as an art gallery.

The location and view was incredible! The unit was very well appointed with everything you would need for your stay. We loved the fireplace and the hammock. Also lots of candles, gas heater and rechargeable torches to take you through loadshedding. Minerva, Lizelle and Ananda were so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

Nothing at all. I wish we had booked a longer stay. we will definitely return
