Beautiful and very spacious. There is a washing machine, each room had an air conditioner so that was really nice. The design inside was pretty and thr rooms felt like we were back in time. It was down a quiet little side street close to everything, but far enough that it was nice an peaceful at night. Within walking distance of tons of things, including thr old district and thr station.

There was limited space to hang up clothes to dry and the futons were pretty hard.

"Amazing to have the opportunity to enjoy something like that for tourists."

We were very surprised to find such a fine traditional house made available on the platform and are greatly thankful for the opportunity to enjoy it. I just hope the host will not make negative experiences with other guests as such a facility require care, appreciation and a minimal knowledge about how to handle it.

Perfect space in Kyoto - one of our favourites over 9 holiday stays. Hosts were responsive. House was lovely - bath was amazing! Nice to have cloths drier in sun room. Easy access to station, buses, Gion, convenience stores. Great meal at restaurant almost opposite. Very authentic. Totally excessive amount of towels and toiletries! One of everything for each of us for 6 nights!!!!

De sfeer van deze locatie voelde als een authentieke Japanse woning. De badkamer, de schuifdeuren, de fotons, zelfs de slippers en kimono's, alles klopte. De locatie was voor ons heel fijn, supermarktjes om de hoek, treinstationnetje en bus halte dichtbij. Maar vooral dat je op loopafstand van de rivier en Gion zit is geweldig. Heerlijk om savonds een rondje te wandelen in dit prachtige deel van Kyoto!

"Traditional Japanese but a bit dated"

I like the authentic touch of the Japanese bathing tub , tatami mats and shoji. Location was decent in the Higashiyama quarter

It was dated , dark . The only bathroom is downstairs and the bedrooms were upstairs . There was only one pillow per bed . I don’t recommend this property if you have mobility issues or little kids . Also , no coffee cups . Just tea cups
