Property just as described and as in photos (other than the small garden is being replaced by new bamboo plantings.) Very well-located and quiet.

exactly like the pictures a cozy typical Kyoto family house. the location is perfect, close to transport and some of the key attractions but in a calm residential street

The house is a wonderful mix of traditional and modern. Supremely comfortable beds and loved the Yudo experience in the tub (shower first then soak) after a day of walking. It is a short walk.to Kiyomizu-dera and very close to the subway, bus stops, restaurants, small bars and a Lawson convenience store. It was a home away from home.

The house is so charming. It gave off a traditional yet modern style. It had all the amenities we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and very close to the bus stop and train station. The owner gave detailed instructions on how to enter the house and how to use all the amenities, like the washer.

The house was very cold, especially the bathroom, but figured out to keep the door slightly open so some of the warm air in the living room will go in the bathroom. The rest of the house did eventually warm up with the use of all the heaters that was provided!

The traditional house is perfectly situated in the part of old town we like. We prefer to go around on foot. Commute to tour sites are convenient either by public transportation or by walking. The host always responded quickly to our requests. We are grateful that they helped us make the reservation with one famous local restaurant.

Location was easy to find and easy self check-in. Easy to find parking around Ayame-an Clean and comfortable for 4 pax. All necessary amenities are provided. Owner was very responsive to queries.

This place is such a good find. Comfortable, quiet, and in an ideal location. We walked to so many places from here. Nightwalks on the way back from restaurants were particularly nice, since the route was full of small, quiet Gion streets, where you could experience the neighbourhood without crowds. The bathtub was also a highlight, soaking in it was almost as good as an onsen.
