Sea views - Harbour view, Torquay Central location

Good location

The kitchen was in a disgusting state. Utensils were dirty, covered in food remains and grease. Pots and pans were unusable — we had to purchase our own frying pan. The oven was filthy, and the only tea towel provided was in such a terrible state that we had to buy our own. There were no instructions for using the induction hob, which made cooking unnecessarily difficult in a self-catering property. The ensuite bedroom mattress was heavily stained, as were the mattress cover and duvet. In the ensuite bathroom, the shower pole was broken, the toilet brush was both broken and filthy. We contacted the property owner during our stay, and while she did arrange for a handyman to come out (who was helpful and openly agreed that the condition of the apartment was poor), this was clearly too little, too late. After the holiday, I followed up with the owner again, only to be met with a dismissive and defensive response, demanding photographic evidence — which I promptly sent. Three days later, I’ve had no reply. This property is clearly not maintained to an acceptable standard, and the lack of proper customer care is just as frustrating. It’s clear that any initial ‘good impression’ is just cosmetic — a deeper look reveals a lack of hygiene, basic upkeep, and respect for guests.

Despite booking many weeks ago, we had no contact from the property until the day of arrival, which in my opinion was too late and just left me to worry. Maybe a message at an earlier time to explain what would happen and when would’ve been preferred. The checkout time was also too early (9.00 am until I asked and it was put back to 10.00). 11.00 would’ve been much more appropriate and more in line with many hotels.

Modern fully furnished appartment, nice deco and detail to attention with accessorising. Having two bathrooms was a bonus with the family. Nice sitting area, dining area .TV, netflix , youtube available. Towels soap provided. Tea/coffee too

Once you get in building found bit difficult to find appartment on first day. Some aspect of cleaning in kitchen was not good ie dish washer had food bits ln it. Duvet covers & pillow covers were missing for sofa bed and we booked as a family, they did provide next day

The apartment is quite well decorated and maintained! It was cleaned! Very nice!

The instructions to access the apartment needs improvement. The checkout is 10am!

Lift not working. Cooker only 2 hobs working

The location of the apartment is fabulous.

Exterior of property not good. Lift wasn't working despite checking all of this before booking, so difficult for my 89 year old father. No parking so hard offloading suitcases etc
