Sea views - Harbour view, Torquay Central location

Easy to collect keys, host emailed instructions on the day of arrival. Great central location. Spacious apartment Kitchen equipped with cutlery utensils etc

On entry there was a foul smell. The carpet was soaking wet in the passage as there had been a boiler leak days before. The host didn’t mention this until I mentioned it to her. It was when we took our shoes off to unwind after getting back in the evening from seeing family that our socks got soaked through when walking over the landing to and from access to the en-suite bedroom & the main bathroom. It wasn’t very pleasant. We wanted to bath & shower that evening and realised there was no running hot water. It smelt strong of damp, where the carpet had been left wet for days and hadn’t dried out. The smell was coming into the en-suite bedroom being closest to where the leak occurred. It wasn’t a pleasant smell. I messaged the host at 11pm. She didn’t reply so I called her direct. She did answer but said there wasn’t anything she could do as she didn’t think a plumber would come out until the next day. She said this is property unexpected things that happen. She said she would ring around to see if there was an emergency plumber and she would get back to me, she got back to me at 1am to say plumber couldn’t come until 10am. I didn’t sleep that night as the bed wasn’t comfortable. The divan base was collapsed around the edges so when laying on top the mattress naturally moulds into the dip. So I was laying slanted in a dip. The mattress had lots of yellow stains on, there were liquid splats/stains over the wall by headboard. After switching a switch next to the boiler and resorting to the bedroom, I tried the taps again early hours and it was starting to heat. By the morning it was hot. However only able to run one bath, as it went back to running cold after that, so we couldn’t all wash.

Location. Brilliant right by every thing. Room beautifully clean every thing you need.

Parking diabolical even with blue badge you had yo pay fir parking. Had e parking tickets one whi h was a lie about time we were parked. Awful place to park. In a disabled parking g space. Still had to pay even with a badge . Road works again. So roads blocked off with out signs given different directions. Git there 1 oclock in morning because of accident on motor way couldnt see parking signs

Amazing location. Fantastic communication from the host. Great facilities in the kitchen.

No duvet cover and pillow covers for the pull out bed. Duvet had some stains

Lovely cosy apartment, with all required facilities. There are a lot of steep steps to climb to the top. However, there are lifts available. Beautiful view, which was the main reason for booking this property. All local amenities close by including co op. Close to the beach, arcades and all the things a family with children could wish for! Easy ferry booking if you fancied a trip to Brixham (which is beautiful) Host very responsive also.

Nothing to note. All very happy with our stay.

Great location, nice modern apartment

Quite hot until you open the windows (there are plenty of fans supplied) but backs onto a few bars so then it’s noisy til about 12/1am

Not suitable for someone with mobility issues as there are some stairs
