Trulli del Sole

Architecture was incredible. Quiet, surrounded by fields, but easy access to surrounding towns. A bit challenging to find but MariaDonata & Andrea met us at the location. They were both charming and full of helpful suggestions. They were responsive to questions.

It was wonderful.

We received such a warm welcome even before we arrived and an even warmer welcome on arrival. It was easy to start the holiday immediately as everything had been provided by the hosts. A beautiful Trulli house with lots of space and spotlessly clean. We had a truly perfect stay and hopefully will return very soon. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. 💕

Our stay was perfect. The place is incredibly spectacular both day and night. The empathy of María Donatta and her son Andrea made us feel right at home. The experience of living in a true trulli is unforgettable.

Maria en Andrea ontvingen ons zeer vriendelijk, hoewel we veel later aankwamen dan verwacht door problemen bij het huren van de auto. Midden in de nacht hadden zij nog hun goede humeur niet verloren en legden ze ons alles van de trullo uit. De tafel was bijzonder mooi gedekt en in de keuken stond nog een rijk gevuld welkomstpakket. Een heerlijk welkom in Puglia. De door ons gehuurde trullo overtrof onze verwachtingen. Hij is mooi, heel gezellig met een goed uitgeruste keuken en een badkamer die aan alle eisen voldeed. Buiten kon je heerlijk zitten op verschillende plekken en eten onder een overkapping. De trullo heeft ook een zeer centrale ligging ten opzichte van de bezienswaardigheden in Puglia, Maria was elke dag bereid om eventuele problemen op te lossen, maar dat was gelukkig niet nodig. Alles deed het perfect, goede airco en wifi en veel keukenbenodigdheden.

Le trulli est vraiment excellent! Nous nous sommes retrouvé immergés dans la culture des Pouilles! Génial!

Il manque un peu de rangement pour les vêtements.

Purtroppo la struttura non ha soddisfatto le nostre aspettative. Al nostro arrivo, abbiamo trovato l’alloggio in condizioni piuttosto trascurate: sembrava non essere stato utilizzato da tempo. Le cerniere del copriwater e il miscelatore risultavano arrugginiti, e pur comprendendo che il trullo si trovi in campagna, la presenza costante di scarafaggi ha reso il soggiorno poco piacevole e piuttosto stressante. L’accesso al cortile non era adeguatamente sicuro, in quanto mancava un cancello, e questo potrebbe essere un problema per chi viaggia con un’auto nuova e desidera maggiore tranquillità. Un altro aspetto deludente è stato l’approccio poco ospitale da parte dei proprietari. In particolare, la proprietaria ci ha rivolto toni poco cordiali, sottolineando con insistenza che nessun altro poteva accedere alla struttura oltre a noi, con modi che abbiamo trovato inappropriati e poco accoglienti. Inoltre, al momento del check-out, la persona addetta alle pulizie si è mostrata invadente con domande fuori luogo. In generale, non è stata un’esperienza rilassante, come invece ci aspettavamo per una vacanza.

This was definitely the best place we stayed at in Puglia. The trulli was exceptional and Maria Donata and Andrea exceptional hosts. The trulli is very well kitted out, very clean, comfortable beds and recently renovated. In a peaceful rural setting we loved every minute of our stay.

This is an excellent property in a tranquil location that gave us a really relaxing and peaceful base from which to explore the area. The Trulli was well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, the dining and living areas were spacious, our beds comfortable and the bathroom modern. Our hosts were great - friendly, helpful and also left us food which was really kind.

An amazing property. Beautiful on the outside & more beautiful inside. Lots of brickwork detail inside & very tastefully decorated. Its situation is very rural & along a farmers track to access. However only a 10 min drive into the beautiful Martina Franca centre historical. Lots of Piazza’s & lovely restaurants , vibrant in the evenings. We explored Puglia area every day as we were in our own car & this Trulli was ideally situated for exploring the region. The owners, the lovely Maria & her son Andrea were so very welcoming & extremely helpful. We spent a week here & was very sad to leave.
