Casa Lago Batur

La proximitat al mont batur per fer l’excursió a la matinada.

Està brut: si saps que has de tenir hostes, almenys passa l’escombra o l’aspirador abans. El lavabo perdia aigua, de fet quan vam arribar estava inundat. Vam dir-ho al servei i ho van netejar, però per la tarda tornava a estar tot moll. La dutxa fa molta mania i hi ha molt soroll de cotxes i de gent/animals. No hi tornaria ni que em regalessin l’estada.

Breakfast was the most delicious sandwich I had in a while. View was absolutely stunning, directly facing the lake and Mount Abang. Highly recommended staying here for those doing the sunrise peak trek or jeep tour to Mount Batur. Perfect location, jeep came to pick us up at 4:30am (much better than the 2am if we had stayed in Ubud or further), and it was a short 20min drive up the volcano. On top of that, there are 2 great restaurant/establishments for great food and good vibes, literally across the road! This is really important as there aren't many food options here, and with no Grab, it was very inconvenient to get anywhere. Room itself was spacious.

There was no TV in the room. Noise from the road (and next door) does carry quite a bit, but for a short stay, it's bearable. Toilet was decent and very roomy, but shower area could be a little cleaner. The hand basin was also a little awkwardly designed with some tiles missing, but not really a massive problem.

pictures are very deceptive. If you think you gonna get a room with windows on 2 walls/sides as shown in the pictures it probably won't happen as only 1 room in the facility has that and other rooms provide windows on one side. When I pointed that discrepancy to the extremely arrogant owner that basically is just luring you with cheap accommodations to try to sell you tours, he extremely aggressively replied that other pictures of the rooms with only one side windows are shown which is kinda true but NOT obvious at all to say the least. So very deceptive indeed but the place in itself is worth it. Good luck dealing with the dude running it though which is an absolute piece of work...
