Casa Lago Batur

The stuff was polite and providing a good service. The room was large.

I got the room that is facing a main road and it was quite loud. The stuff did acknowledge that on their own and offered me to stay in another room my second night there, but I didn't bother to change since I can sleep through the noise and it would be more of the trouble to move to another room. When it comes to a cleaning, it seams like they are doing fine with everyday cleaning, but the place needs some deep clean, like washing the windows and curtains.

The place is comfortable to stay for 1 night before the trek, especially if you have the pick up included. I had to rent a bike from the village 5 minutes walk away to get to my starting point with GetYourGuide, this was inconvenient. But some tours start from that part of the mountain, so choose wisely. You may be lucky to find a gojek moto taxi during the day, but definitely not at night and no cars. The view was great and nice to sit on the terrace in the morning. I came back around 8.30am and had a few hours to chill which was great. The Warung just across the street was nice for dinner. Breakfast was an egg sandwich that they broughtght to the room around 9am.

It is very close to the main road and the jeeps and motorbikes start to drive past from 2 am when they get ready for tours, so it is very loud. Not a place to rest if you are a sensitive sleeper. Plus chickens and dogs around. The smell in the bathroom was not pleasant and after taking shower the whole bathroom floor flooded as the drainage was blocked with hair everywhere. The way the shower looks with stones on the floor etc is very nice, but not practical at all. In general looks clean, but my white socks became yellow after a few minutes. And no duvet cover or a sheet for duvet, so made me a bit uncomfortable and not sure if they wash the duvet after every guest

Very nice and large room with a view on the lake. They organized the visit to Mount Batur which was truly excellent and fair price. Our vulcano guide was fantastic!

Breakfast should be offering toasted bread and jam and fresh pancakes instead only rice or noodles were available.

Good value, great view, perfect location for what I wanted to do. Staff were helpful and friendly. They spoke good English

It was a little noisy from traffic

Most gracious host who took care of everything when I broke my wrist on decent of mount Batur. He organied transport to a local clinic . Then he organied another driver to take me to hospital. He also took care of the expense involved.

The value for money is exceptional - a really fantastic room, with huge, hot shower, and a beautiful balcony with lake view. We trekked up Mt Batur from our room! Absolutely nothing to fault for the price
