Such an amazing location and great restaurant.

המליצו לנו ללון על האי לכן בחרנו לעשות לילה במלון הזה שחשבתי שיתן את החוויה הטובה ביותר עבור המקום המיוחד הזה. בדיעבד הייתי לוקחת חדר מחוץ לאי, שמשקיף על האי. החדר שקיבלנו היה מרווח יחסית, המיטה נוחה אבל הנוף היה מאוד סתמי, פונה לחניון המשאיות והכניסה לאי לכן שקט לא ממש היה גם לא שום דבר שמיחד את האי. החדר בקומה 4 עם גרם מדרגות צר וכמובן ללא מעלית. ארוחת הבוקר היתה צרפתית קלאסית - לחם, קרואסונים, גבינות נקניקים וביצים. ההיערכות מראש עם הצ'ק והחנייה מחוץ לאי היתה קלה יחסית אבל בחזרה כשחיכינו לאוטובוס של השאטל התחיל גשם ולא היינו ערוכים לזה.

כפי שתראו בתמונות, הנוף מהחדר היה מאוד סתמי, 4 קומות מדרגות בלי מעלית זה קשוח.

Trovo scomodo il check-in che si fa in due momenti diversi: prima presso le Relais Saint Michel (vicino ai parcheggi) e poi, per avere le chiavi della stanza, presso l’hotel Les terrasses. Non esiste una reception all’interno dell’hotel. Per fortuna non ci sono stati problemi, ma ci sente, comunque, un po’ abbandonati a se stessi. Le camere e i bagni sono datati, capisco che ci si trovi all’interno di un edificio storico, ma per avere un comfort maggiore andrebbero rivisti.

The hotel is right in the centre of the beautiful island. The room was comfortable.

We were in a room on the ground floor which had a large window opening directly onto the pathway, so people were walking past inches away from our bedroom and able to look in. We had to close it at night and it didn’t feel very secure.

We opted to stay on the island because we heard the crowds died down in the evenings. That was true and I’m glad we had the experience. However, we were unable the room was a 4-floor walkup, which isn’t normally bad, but after climbing all the stairs to get to it, 4 floors hurt. That said, the room had beautiful views, was very clean and well furnished, and more than met our needs.

Access was tough because of all the stairs (see my note above). There was no one on the island to speak to about holding our luggage while we went in a morning hour of the Abbey or anything else. And while everyone’s budget is different, I thought it was overpriced for what we received.

Unser Zimmer in der L'Eremitage, war viel besser, als erwartet. Das Bett sehr bequem, daß Badezimmer großzügig und im Kühlschrank wartete gekühlten Wasser auf uns. Und Dank dem Ventilator ließ sich auch die unglaubliche Hitze gut aushalten. Bei unserem Besuch waren es 36°C. Großartig, dass man am Abend und frühen Morgen das Dorf fast für sich allein hat. Allein dafür lohnt sich eine Übernachtung auf dem Mont Saint-Michel

Wegen der Hitze wollten wir abends vor dem Zubettgehen noch duschen, aber anscheinend wird hier abends der Wasserdruck massiv runtergefahren und warmes Wasser ganz abgedreht. So hatten wir nur tröpfchenweise eiskaltes Wasser zur Verfügung.
