Historic Modern Uptown Home ll

Great value, you have the whole huge apartment to yourself! The kitchen could use some additional pieces of equipment, but it was fine. We found it very comfortable and enjoyed breakfast po boys on the patio from a nearby shop. A 10 minute walk to the tram station, then some 20-30 minutes to the French Quarter. Recommended.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get the coffee machine to work. Also, the bathtub requires some maintenance. The bed is quite soft, but fine.

Best part of the stay was leaving

The neighbourhood was incredibly unsafe - this property shouldn’t be on Booking.com. The property wasn’t clean - the bed had mites/bed bugs which caused a rashes The front door barely locked The light next door flickered on and off 24/7 shining directly into the room which made sleeping around all the other goings on basically impossible. I honestly couldn’t be paid to stay in this property again, I was glad to get out of there!

Wasn’t provided any check-in information. Host was unresponsive and we were stuck outside in the middle of the night for hours trying to get in and reach the host. The door on the property barely had a latch and was difficult to keep closed and locked; it looked like it had been busted in multiple times. No internet.

The bed was collapsing and there were cigarette burns in the sheets. The furniture was dirty, clearly hadn't been cleaned in ages. I had to pull teeth to get the lockbox code. The host didn't respond to problems. Every fit and fixture looked like it was done by the worst slum lord "handy man." The bathtub looked like it was from Saw. Huge splinters were coming off of the disintegrating floor and unfinished door frames, several of which ended up stuck in our hands and feet. The outer door lock strike plate barely held the door closed, and the outer metal door could only be held closed by locking it. Worst of all was there was no fire safety whatsoever. There were no fire extinguishers, and the gas heater was balanced on top of wobbly bricks. I have low expectations for a cheap rental, but this was even worse than those low expectations. All of that was bad enough, but the lack of fire extinguishers and the shoddy unventilated gas heater should disqualify this from being listed.

Property was very neat, clean and spacious.

The area was not a good area. I should have researched better but the apartment was great the few hours I stayed.

Great location a short ride from all the action. Spacious and accommodating. I stayed alone most of my trip and felt very safe. You have the whole house with a nice kitchen and dining area. Loved the decor including the high ceilings and beautiful front door. Thank you I had a wonderful time, and would stay again.

I liked everything, the water was not hot but it was so hot and humid in NOLA I didn't mind
