Location is outstanding for exploring the Kent and Sussex Weald, within a few miles of outstanding castles, national trust properties, gardens, arboretum, also quirky Kino cinema, shops, walks, even a Go Ape high ropes trail, and about 30 mins from historic Rye, Battle of Hastings and seaside at Camber Sands. Hosts were responsive to our bedding request, left fresh produce including eggs, beans and blackberries with local apple juice, and were on hand for advice and help. Love their story of moving to their dream house and doing up the Lodge.

"Ok for a 2 night base."

The entertainment options were good. We expected a DVD player as there were DVDs but the films we bought with us were on Amazon Prime which was provided. Good selection of books and games.

Traffic noise. If you are used to traffic noise then it would be no problem.

Good location, friendly and attentive. Lots of lovely touches with dog treats and treats for the kids too. Very welcoming.

The boiler situation was the only real problem.

What a great place, just what we wanted. Beautiful lodge in a fantastic location. Although the owners are next door it was extremely private. Would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. Thank you

"Comfortable,clean, good decor, facilities and lovely country views from the back."

Location was good but on a busy road. No problem after first visit - very good directions. House had a lovely atmospere and was beautifully decorated. Milk and fresh eggs to greet us. Lovely view from the back over the hills. The hosts were quick to reply to any queries. Good family venue.

The smaller bedroom would be a little small for 2 adults and didn't have much storage due to it's size.

The owners Lauren and Tom's small touches in the Lodge to help those staying - like fresh produce (Milk for us), games, kids activities and a well stocked kitchen with crockery, pans but also salt & pepper, ketchup was a nice touch. Lauren greeted us and was so friendly and had left a pack giving Information. Before we came the communication was lovely and having directions to find the Lodge very useful. The Lodge is quirky, very clean, comfortable with a good selection of pillows. Having two bedrooms is a bonus for those with kids who don't want to share a hotel room with them!

Road noise as I am not used to it where I live (residential street).
