Sea Breeze Guest House Negombo Beach & Airport

Clean cozy and right in town with an electric tea kettle.

A whole booklet of rules and info about the hotel yet nothing mentioned about paying to eat the snacks in the room which appeared to be complementary. So it was annoying to be charged for that

Really helpful staff, the aircon was cold, the WiFi was strong, the room was mosquito proof, bed comfy, the location was ideal. They helped us to organise an airport transfer for the middle of the night which all went smoothly. The property felt private and safe. Would recommend this guest house to anyone travelling through Negombo, it was a good base for our last days in beautiful Sri Lanka. Great value.

The only thing lacking was maybe some coffee/tea making facilities in the room, also hot water was not always available in the shower, not a problem for us as it was so hot in Negombo!

Avoid this place! The staff was incredibly rude, I have never experienced something like this. There was nobody present during check-out and we didn't get specific instructions, so we did what every hotel or guest house usually prefers and left the key on the door when we left. 8 hour after check-out, I received a message from the staff that my friend took snacks from the room without paying and left the AC on. I understand that this is annoying, but mistakes can happen. He could have just asked nicely to transfer the money and there would be no issue. Instead, he sent me a whole video talking in a very rude and extremely condescending tone. He then proceeded to send rude messages saying this is not the way to behave in budget accomodations and he should teach me some lessons about hospitality. It was completely inappropriate and really shocked me. He also claimed to have 'upgraded' our rooms and that we took advantage of his generosity. However, the rooms we originally booked looked a lot better. The rooms he gave us were full of bugs and mold. This is obviously a scam. My friend made a stupid but honest mistake and we immediately transfered the money after she confirmed that she took the snacks. Do not book this property.

Good atmosphere , friendly and kind staff highly recommended ! Beach in few minutes , hoping to visit again🔥
