Sea Breeze Guest House Negombo Beach & Airport

The staff was accommodating and did try to help when we needed it. The washroom was good, designed well and good water pressure. Food was not too bad they had good butter chicken and chicken Chettinad. But Expensive!!

Seemed like the family room had been closed and opened only on ur arrival. AC did not cool and when we asked for it to be repaired they said this was the max cooling the ac could do and NEGOMBO is so hot. I accidentally booked for the next day when I needed it for the current day called to modify my booking and staff agreed we could check in and confirmed to be via call and Whatsapp. But then later I receive a call and the staff tells me that colleague is out for a meeting and he isnt aware we were checking in when everything was confirmed. We asked for two fans to survive two nights. Cockroaches walking on me. Uncomfortable double and single double bed for 4 adults giving a back pain! No curtain in the room to take away the light they said it was not required where as the sun light would beam through the glass. The electricity was out half the night we requested for generator which they provided on our request otherwise they wouldnt. Do not order tea from here it is like water with a tea bags. They did not have drinking water we did not ask for free we would have paid. I visited 5 places in Srilanka even the most budgeted hotel gave us free water. TV for show and would not work. The staff member also had the audacity to tell us and stressed on this is a budgeted hotel they dont pay much attention to details and will ignore most facilities. They were cleaning the room upon our arrival they advertise tea coffee maker in all rooms we had none. Fast free Wifi was advertised but I still had to use my Dialog DATA which worked way better. The family room we stayed didnt have complete tiling or carpeting and they asked to remove slippers. All the hotels I booked was pay at the property and took payment at checkout but Sea breeze unfair and forced to make prepayment. Why pay if we are unhappy and they told us they will arrange another hotel late at night why should we go when all are tired travelling! Too many stray barking and fierce dogs in the property be careful!

stayed for one night with a group of friends. The place was nice and the kitchen was helpful for preparing our meals. The room boy was very kind and polite—such a helpful person. The location is great too, just walking distance from the beach. The staff were friendly, especially a very light-skinned man who helped us a lot. Overall, it was a good stay.

What really upset us is that someone there took our identity information, as well as that of six other people in our group. This is a serious concern and made us feel very unsafe. Additionally, although many hotels provide water, we were not given any. We had to ask for water ourselves and ended up paying for two glasses by hand. Even then, we didn’t receive bottled water, and the payment process was unclear and unfair. The hotel didn’t clearly explain our location or help us with directions. Overall, it was not a good experience, and we are very disappointed.

Location, Spacious Clean Room & the washroom, Powerful Shower, Hot wate available all the time, Comfortable Bed, Private Balcony, No Language Barrier, Staff - Marlon speaks good English & Owner - Ganesh understands Tamil. Owner allowed late-checkout without additional cost and he is super responsive on our request.He took extra care on asking if everything is going well on each day we stayed.

Below are MINOR suggestions only 1) Naked Glass on top of Windows & Doors. Please add Curtains. 2) Payment in LKR is based on today USD Selling Price of Commercial Bank - Property Policy. As we stayed in 6 properties with in Srilanka for this trip and all 5 properties asked us to pay today USD Market Price. Please add this info in your description / property policy, so the future customers will be aware.
