Cozy Lewes Town House

The location was perfectly placed for both the venue we were going to and the train station. The interior was beautifully furnished and had a genuinely cosy atmosphere. The dog biscuits and bits were a really good touch and our dog really loved the yard and was absolutely fascinated with the stairs and insisted on escorting everyone everytime they used them. The beds were incredibly comfortable so much so we had difficulty getting someone to wake up. All communication with our host was excellent. We will definitely re-book next time we are in Lewes.

Nothing absolutely nothing.

The house was clean and tidy, a short walk into the town centre, dog friendly, good kitchen facilities.

Check in time was at 4pm, check out at 10am which is unusual and a bit frustrating for a one night stay. I messaged the host twice in advance asking for a later checkout at 11am to fit around our plans but didn’t hear back. The shower is really small. The key box is on a really low wall next to a busy road and you basically have to kneel down to open it- sounds silly but actually quite difficult to especially in the dark! Tea and coffee provided but no milk. All of these things would be easily overlooked in isolation but given the price tag I left feeling a bit frustrated generally, please just allow people to check in and check out at normal times!

The bed was super comfy and cozy. The host replied to messages straight away. It was great to have Netflix!
