Only a few blocks from downtown Wilmington. Very easy to walk to. Historic old house on a historic street! Very cool vibe. Small convenience store across the street. Separate entrance for guests and lit up all hours of the night.

Comfortable and hospitable.

The location was good, easy walk to the waterfront and all the restaurants, it was reasonably comfortable and the bed was comfortable.

I hadn’t realised that we had a shared bathroom when I booked, but that was my fault I guess . There aren’t any facilities as such just the room and a separate entrance,

Location wad excellent 10 to 15 min leisurely walk to downtown riverfront and restaurants. Lots of little brewerie within blocks. Free parking on street. Shared bathroom but only with one other room and it was not at all a problem. Staff were helpful and responsive. Cost wad very reasonable for location

The bed. The mattress is very old. Bed 3 out of 10. Quite uncomfortable. A new mattress is needed or at least a foam topper should be put o. Top.if bed was comfortable would give it a score of 8.5.

The mattress made too much noise.

The property owners were quick to make contact with me and were precise in instructions on how to access my room. The room was nice. The bed was ok. Having nice, fresh and fluffy towels, soap and shampoo made me feel cared for. The house is in the boarders the great, historic area of Wilmington and is in a very walkable neighborhood. Parking was on the street, but easy. There's a little market across the street, the owner loaned me a cellphone charger. I felt secure in the neighborhood. I had a corner room at the back of the property with windows on 3 sides and a door that accessed the covered porch that leads to a gate out to the side of the property and to parking. Very private, which I appreciated. The windows had black-out blinds. Coffee maker, bottle of water, a couple of nice English tea cups and a caddy with sugar was provided. I would stay here again, with exceptions. I met the property owner on the last day. He was cordial and excited for Halloween!!

I took a shower in the shared bathroom on the first day and was surprised to find other people's soap remnants in the wire shower caddy. There was no refrigeration or microwave provided if I were to want to buy coffee creamer or reheat generous left-overs. Loose coffee was provided, but no way to get the coffee out of the container. The bottle of water, once emptied, wasn't refreshed. I had to go to the front door to ask for toilet paper. There was a very strong aroma of something herbal for a majority of my stay in the room. My overall impression was once I got into the room, I was neglected and expected to fend for myself. I would have gladly done so, but for the fact there was no little dorm fridge for water or coffee-creamer or microwave. I could have gone across the street for bathroom supplies. I had a spoon from earlier left-overs to scoop coffee into the filter.

Lovely home, very private, safe, comfortable, great bathroom. Walkable to downtown, free parking.
