The Craft House

Solo female traveler: Downtown location ideal for visitors comfortable to ignore/blend in w/o safety concerns w/disheveled, meandering neighborhood denizens. Overpowering smoke-ish smell encasing the entire house. No Owner-return cell-call re entrance location. Hostile unkempt man at main house door (heavy smoke-ish emitting) snarled “If you read the directions…” Large dog on premises behind him (listing? “no pets”+”smoke-free”), room behind in bombshell disarray. Said he was the Owner, slammed door in my face, then opened to yell the B word, slammed door again. Clearly disinterested in helping or being disturbed. Found back gate but could not enter back-house door w/provided code. Street person peering intently into my car (street pkg only). Store staff highly directed to alt. motel area. Same volatile man claimed to be Owner and refused refund. With outside help, found an evening last-minute safe accom across city. Reported incident. DT location may be enticing but safety advised first.

The stay was great. Staff is wonderful and will definitely be back!!

Our stay at the Craft House was amazing, while we were only there for a night the host was a great communicator and very understanding when we accidentally stayed in the wrong room. It was super easy to check in and the facilities were spotless. We will definitely be staying here again if we find ourselves back in Wilmington!

Beautiful house great location

Too hot. Could not adjust temp. Tv did not work. WiFi password did not work. Batteries dying in remote. Absolutely no response from host til after check out. Tv extremely difficult to operate. Invest $30 in a Roku. We don’t need your Netflix sign in. We need a way to use ours.
