We absolutely loved this hostel! Super cozy atmosphere, delicious breakfast, and the location right in the middle of the forest is just magical. The owner Denis is very welcoming and makes you feel at home. A truly special place to stay! And Santa the driver was an absolute delight – so kind, helpful and friendly!

It was a very nice and pleasant stay with the host. He was very helpful. The location is beautiful, a small village with daily amenities and a supermarket nearby. The family organized everything for us, including return transfers, at very good prices.

It's only 5.5 km to the airport. With the pick me up app, which you can download with the phone card you bought at the airport, the ride by tuk-tuk is only about €2. The driver couldn't find the address at first, and we were stuck in some dark dead-end street. But I simply called the landlord, and he explained to the driver exactly where we were going, and then everything was easy. If you don't have a phone card, show the driver the phone number you received from the landlord on the booking app. The whole house and the room are bright, friendly, and clean. It has a mosquito net and a fan. My room had windows on two sides so I could adjust the airflow. I had a shared bathroom, which was also very clean. What more could you want for the price? I pre-booked the room for my return flight straight away. The landlord is very nice, accommodating, and helpful. His brother has a scooter rental business. I had researched the prices online beforehand. I rented a 110cc Honda Vio. And the price was so compelling that I didn't have to look any further. It will be delivered to the guest house, and I can return it there.I was initially concerned about whether the automatic scooter could handle all the hills, but it won me over. I climbed every hill solo, and even with a passenger, it performed surprisingly well. Only when attempting to start up a very steep hill with a passenger did it reach its limits. But here, too, there's a solution: starting on a flatter slope and then going uphill at full throttle with the automatic clutch engaged. It worked. Bis zum Flughafen sind es nur 5,5 km. Mit der Pick-Me-Up-App, die man mit der am Flughafen gekauften Telefonkarte herunterladen kann, kostet die Fahrt mit dem Tuk-Tuk nur etwa 2 €. Der Fahrer konnte die Adresse zunächst nicht finden und wir steckten in einer dunklen Sackgasse fest. Ich habe aber einfach den Vermieter angerufen, der dem Fahrer genau erklärt hat, wo wir hinwollten, und dann war alles ganz einfach.

The toilet flusher sometimes jams. That would waste water unnecessarily. But there are two solutions: simply press it again or turn off the water pump next to the light switch. The sink wobbles a little. But what the heck? For that price, nobody expects a five-star hotel, and the value for money is extremely good. Der wc-spüler hängt manchmal. da würde unnötig Wasser verbraucht werden. aber dafür gibt es sogar zwei Lösungen einfach noch mal drauf drücken oder vorne neben dem Lichtschalter die Wasserpumpe abschalten. das Waschbecken wackelt ein wenig. aber was solls für den Preis erwartet kein Mensch ein Fünf-Sterne-Hotel und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist ausgesprochen gut

The shower water was hot, and the Wi-Fi was strong. Two rarities in Sri Lanka! The staff were friendly. The food was incredible, they catered to my dietry requests and the options were healthy. Better than a restaurant! The laundry machine was broken, but they managed to get my clothes washed anyway.

My only complaint is that it's challenging to get a good night's sleep. As every reviewer has noted, the beds are too short. And while I loved the dogs, they barked all night. It was highly frustrating.

L’accueil était excellent, notre hôte nous a attendus à notre arrivée à 2 heures du matin. Tout était prêt. Le lendemain matin, un petit déjeuner incroyable nous a été préparé, et nous avons même prolongé notre séjour d’une nuit.
