An experience ! Kindly welcomed by Hugh and the cat, then the room was perfect for one night after a long ride, and the pub just downstairs was great. It opens late, but lovely locals, and stories to share along a few drinks. Hugh was an exceptional host. Not to miss ! Live music Friday and Monday, we’d have stay if we could.

Very cheap and cheerful

If you want luxury this isn't the place for you, but good atmosphere and without frills is perfect.

Staff and owner were nice just wish we were staying on a Friday in order to enjoy the trad music. We chose this location as a base camp to hike Mount Errigal, which worked. Take 15 minutes and drive down to the harbor, it is unique and beautiful.

This is not the area to be staying in October as everything is closed. Finding dinner was a challenge because we wanted something other than takeout. The room was clean but the bed was squeaky.

Enjoy a wonderful traditional music session (Mondays and Fridays) and then just stay in the same building. The rooms are very clean and quiet. The owners are very friendly and chatty. A true Donegal experience!

Not much. There was hot water.

Bunberg is not a normal village. Just a scattering of houses. Very difficult to find location. Maps in car did not find address. It is a pub which had three drinkers, no food, no music. Very disappointing. Very few eating locations. Room had no heating, no TV. Very poor internet in room. 1 bar on my phone. No bar on wife's phone. Had to put my phone on floor and hotspot to get her internet. No exhaust fan in ensuite. Was expecting a buzzing Irish pub in a traditional Irish village, with food and music. None of that. I will say that there was a major storm going on which may have influenced some aspects. But, bunberg is not a great location. The only nice thing was the small boat Harbour down the road. If your stay in Ireland is limited, give it a miss.
