Easy check in, comfortable bed, great pub downstairs featuring live music. There was a cat!

Decor and bathrooms in need of updating. Overall 1990’s vibe.

I chose this property for the traditional Irish music sessions on Friday and Monday nights, and because the owner and many (all?) the staff speak Irish as their first language. Marie (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) was so lovely and gave me a room with a bath, and made up the bed for me ------ she couldn't have been more kind. And, after I mislaid my phone charger, everyone went to enormous trouble to help me ----------- I've never before stayed with such wonderful hosts. The property doesn't serve breakfast but there is a wonderful cafe right across the road and they do wonderful breakfasts - pancakes with blueberries and Greek yogurt, vegan breakfast, delicious scrambled eggs etc You can walk from the pub/ accommodation to Bunbeg church and look for the grave of a soldier accidentally shot by his comrades as he returned from a night out (ask about him in the Croithlí distillery!) and - in the other direction - you can walk along with the sea always visible, and the nearby beach not too far away [I wasn't able to walk down or up the steep hills, but I loved being able to see the sea and the islands.] And the view from my bedroom window was great too, just to be able to see the sea is so energising. I adored the Friday night music and loved trying to speak Irish with the bar staff. I will definitely be back.

I found the bed quite uncomfortable but I don't think it's fair for me to judge beds as I have mobility issues and a banjaxed back so I need a very good mattress and it would be unfair to expect to get the sort of mattress I need in rented accommodation.

the room was like a prison cell - the basic of basics - one bed one table and two chairs and one wardrobe - threadbare carpet and a musky smell

Bett war komfortabel, direkt überm Pub mit Live Musik.

WLAN reicht nicht bis zum Zimmer, keine Nachttisch Lampen, Bad Einrichtung sehr alt, keine Durchbrause. Wirklich sauber war das Bad nicht.
