Green view group of houseboats

I really enjoyed my stay. I had the budget room which is simple but clean and comfortable. The location is great as it is on a little island but close to town. You always get free rides to the mainland. Best part is the hospitality and friendliness of the owner. I was greeted with chai and had great conversations about Kashmiri culture and life

Didn’t get a towel

The owner Farooq bhai took personal care to ensure our comfort during our stay. If there was no hot water he ensured its availability by burning logs since electricity supply was not there sometimes. He checked that the quality of food was as per liking. He also shared with us the places we should visit besides the standard Pahalgam and Gulmarg. He made us feel at home. Also the WIFI is very good at this house boat.

If Electricity supply was more regular it would have been good but then that is not in control of Farooq bhai. Inspite of that he made hot water available for bath.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Green View HB. Farooq and his sons were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was great, breakfast and dinner delicious, and the location is perfect. In a nutshell, I strongly recommend!

I extended my stay here to a week as I enjoyed the place and location. There was no issue or charge getting to shore anytime, with three boats. Farooq is a kind soul, and an entrepreneur. The prices for hiking etc he sorted were fair. The set up of my basic room was modest, as is the cooking. Greenview worked for me though :)

The boat initially( accommodation ), but Farooq and his 2 son added a friendly, family feel to my stay, with helpful information, theirs shops and restaurants, 5 minutes boat ride away, which Farooq is always happy to oblige WiFi was good, Nice view from boat house terrace / balcony

Nice experience, staff was very nice and helpful. Good weather and nice room. Driver was also good.

The best part of our stay was that we got a free shikra ride to the land every time we made a call, the other was the accommodation is a houseboat which is a unique experience to many.

The property is located on the other side of Dal Lake, which makes it a bit difficult to access. Although the address on booking.com states it is located at gate number 1, it is not actually situated there. Our stay could have been made better if we were provided with cleaner beds and blankets. They were not as clean as they are suppose to be. Despite having booked for two people, we were only served breakfast portions for one. On our first night, we had dinner on the boat which cost Rs 250 per person, but the portions of food we received were really small. It felt like we were served leftovers from other guests. Additionally, the host was constantly trying to sell us services like cars for the day and shikra rides on Dal lake and meena bazaar, which felt like harassment. We were asked questions every time we got off and on the boat, which really detracted from our experience of staying here. Hoping this review helps them provide better service to their customers.
