Cosy cottage near Alton Towers

Great location. Very clean and tidy and spacious. Nice little touches like toys and books and games for the kids and family. Very comfortable. Will definitely book again

This was a lovely little cottage about 15 minutes away from Alton Towers. It was perfect for us, affordable and very clean and homely! Lovely touches too, like the basket with blankets in downstairs, tea, coffee, sugar and milk, the complimentary filter coffee and bottle of wine and a sweet cone for my son. Plenty of towels and the bedrooms were really clean and tidy, with storage and a vanity table in the main bedroom. Amanda was very friendly and helpful, responding to any questions I had quickly and politely. We felt very welcomed and at home and will be returning at some point.

Great location with clear information given beforehand. Lovely touches with sweets left for the children and a bottle of wine for the adults. Highly recommend this property.

The location was literally perfect for our trip to Alton Towers (Dad + 3) The property is a cottage, so obviously self-catering - the local shop is fine for essentials, but Uttoxeter is only a 7 minute drive. Uttoxeter has Waitrose, Tesco, Asda, Aldi and others. Access to the JCB car park, which is literally opposite the accommodation was very useful. Parking on the street was OK most of the time. The owner left treats for the 3 children, fresh milk, and a bottle of pretty good wine for Dad. I'd say the best part of staying here was that the owner was completely involved and very communicative. Happy and nice. The property itself on arrival was perfect, everything fully stocked. Everywhere clean, fresh bedding and towels. I haven't posted photos on this review because the photos on the listing is literally what we found when we arrived.

It was the perfect cosy cottage for our little family holiday. We were greeted by a very clean cottage and a lovely welcome note and bottle of wine, fresh milk, and sweets for the kids. Lovely little touch. Very close to all amenities and surrounded by a beautiful village. Perfect location for Alton Towers. Would definitely recommend.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Location ideal for what we were doing over the weekend.
