Cartmel Barn: Beckside Stables

Location was amazing with lovely walks available right from the house, and Cartmel easily walkable. Very comfy bed and quiet so had great sleeps. Hosts are very welcoming, and the actual property is amazing, very cosy and well kitted out. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Beautiful location, a lovely short walk into Cartmel. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and generous and full of advice on things to do in the area. The interior is fantastic too. Cosy and warm. Very relaxing.

The property is gorgeous! It has everything you would need. It’s very comfy and cozy, with a beautiful charm and stunning outdoor space. The owners are very kind, they supply the property with some food and drink such as cereal, milk and fizzy drinks which was unexpected by us! So this was a nice touch. There are also some information on the surrounding area as well as nearby walks which is very helpful if you’re looking to explore.

The view

The steep stairs The fact that the shower and toilet were separate to the property ‘across’ the yard. That there was no running water in the property That there was no hot water facility in the toilet to wash hands. That no one greeted us, or made contact, during our 1-night stay. It should have been 2 nights but we could not cope with the accommodation. It was very expensive. The property had not been accurately described.

We stayed for 2 nights in this little gem of a place, and we really didn't want to leave. It is a cosy cottage in a beautiful location with the loveliest owners who made us feel completely at home and gave us full use of their stunning garden.
