HOTEL KANAN INN

Booked this as it was near to airport and after a week in Darjeeling looked bright, young and exciting, mmmmmmm. I booked the hotels taxi and made sure via what’s app to have the driver waiting with my name on a board. The hotel is a mile away, you can see the airport from the hotel yet the driver turned up 90, yes 90 mins late!!! Not acceptable. On getting back to hotel really late, I asked for tea, only for them to say no, kitchen closed!! I was given a free upgrade to a deluxe room. This was a small room without a bathroom. I was then given a room n 2 nd floor. No kettle tea or coffee, mattress was almost as firm as a board. I was soo tired I couldn’t be bothered to try again. Next morning I asked about a kettle. They looked blankly and I again asked why was driver late. Again no reply, possibly as there was no English speaking person present. As I was flying out the next day, I couldn’t be bothered to look for another hotel. This hotel is obviously not geared up for western tourists. This is a very basic hotel, possibly a one night stay only, (@apush) Would I recommend it? No, it’s far too basic with no facilities.

Rooms are so big size and clean, Food supplies healthy.

Staff are very punctual and attended in time. Excellent service.

This hotel is one of the best hotels near kolkata airport in budget. The rooms are quite spacious & neat and clean. Will recommend everyone whom i know to visit this hotel.
