Poggio Del Sole

This is an excellent property. In particular the owner Amerigo and his lovely wife were exceptional; they made our trip. Amerigo offered helpful advice, made us coffee every morning, and provided contacts for scooter, boat hire and taxis (but often insisted they pick us up from Forio town themselves, even late after dinner).

Internet a bit slow (but it's an island).

A beautiful, well maintained hotel with the best views of the sea and the most amazing sunsets. Lovely pool as well. Amerigo and his wife are friendly and do a lot for their guests. Amerigo picked me up and dropped me off at the port. He made me food when I was hungry. Nothing is too much.

Its a nice small hotel with extremely helpful owners and you couldn't ask for a better view. The owners helped us with were to go, renting of scooters and even picked us up when we were lost after taking the wrong bus. The rooms were nice and simple but very clean and breakfast was fine aswell. For a 3star hotel you really get value for your money.

The views from this hotel were amazing. The family run hotel was more than a business to the family. Americo and his family did everything possible to make our stay an enjoyable experience. Breakfast was included. We never came away hungry, fruits, yoghurts, pancakes, cakes, croissants, meats, and cheese.

I loved every part of this place, forio has my heart ❤️.

The host was amazing. He also helped us with a some Italien phone calls <3. The view is very nice and the size of the room was good. We enjoyed the whirlpool a lot since it slowly became cold outside. The room was very clean. I guess that after the season a little bit of painting in the room and smaller renovation in the bathroom will be done.

The view out of the room was stunning with a direct view on the sea from bed. To the room belonged a huge terrace, where you can eat breakfast in the morning with unforgettable view. Amerigo and his family were super nice and helpful. We rented a scooter directly at the accommodation which made us very flexible and speeded up transportation on the island.

There was a few minor things which could use improvement: cleanness of the bathroom, water in the shower took long time to get warm and quite a lot of various insects present in the room (e.g., cellar rattle). The main concern is that the last day we noticed a lot of bites. Amerigo said he checked with a specialist company and that they haven't found any bedbugs and suggested that the bites can be by pappatacei mosquito (sandflies).

The familiar atmosphere is a great plus. Amerigo was always ready to assist and we even rented a scooter from the hotel for a lot less than any of the private rental companies in Forio would offer. 10/10

The location and the view are great. The owner of the hotel Amerigo and his wife were very friendly and helpful with everything. We enjoyed very much and recommend this beautiful place for everyone!

The owners/staff were amazing. So welcoming and helpful. Amerigo was happy to provide transport to everyone to and from pretty much any location (including pick-up and return to Forio port) and to the best bus routes. Nothing was too much trouble for Amerigo, Martina and all of the staff. They arranged car hire for us, ordered items over the phone when our Italian was not good enough. Continental breakfast is ample and delicious. The rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. A fabulous place and highly recommended. We were a party of 5 covering 3 generations and can't recommend enough.

The hot-tub was cool.
