Hyacinth Apartments - Central Luxury Brighton

Fabulous location - really close to gorgeous restaurants, the city centre and we really enjoyed the balcony and view of the garden of the basement apartment.

Parking was a nightmare....but we were notified of this - the owner recommendation was a long walk away so we booked someone who rented out their driveway. We were really upset by the fact that the wifi didn't work on arrival. Having notified the host it was rectified the day after, however only for 4 hours. We could only use the TV for that time too. The host wasn't happy that I contacted them to raise our concerns; apart from the wifi and TV not working, the cleanliness wasn't great - fridge unclean and my friend wouldn't use the dishwasher as there was a very dirty sponge there which we put in the bin. We requested extra towels on our arrival which were delivered (damp) as we were going to bed on the 2nd night. Hugely disappointed given it was a special occasion, especially as we couldn't use the wifi to access music or the TV whilst we were in the apartment.

Host arranged an early collection

Great central location, beautifully decorated, the owners were really helpful and very kindly gave us some fans to keep us cool during our stay.

Communication from the owners could have been better - we arrived at the check in time of 3pm and called the owners as we were unsure of how to get into the apartment. We were then told that the apartment hadn’t been cleaned as the cleaner was unavailable. We dropped our bags off but the apartment wasn’t ready for another two hours which wasn’t ideal as we had travelled for several hours to get there and as far as I am aware there was no attempt to contact us about the delays to check in prior to me calling the owners as we from the doorstep. The kitchen is generally well equipped but lacked any sharp knives which made cooking dinner tricky.

Lovely property. Very clean and comfortable. Great location and owners were very responsive to messages before and during the stay. Good value for the location and quality of the property.

More hanging room required and items like bread knife, tea towel, oven gloves were not there. But as soon as this was raised to the Hosts they were excellent and dropped items round that were missing.

Our host came and got internet working again after it had works! The apartment was quiet, but in a good location.

Needed bedside tables & cushions

Location, space of the apartment. It was very clean and well decorated.

The WiFi and TV provided were terrible. It would sit for sometimes up to half an hour not being able to watch anything. The WiFi didn't work on any of our devices. There were no wardrobes with no hanging space or drawers to put your clothes away. There were no sharp knives for cutting and chopping, no dishwasher tablets were provided.
