The rooms are beautifully decorated and have lovely views with outdoor seating for guests to enjoy. The bed was very comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food was great.

There was some road noise that went on until late and if you’re in a downstairs room you can hear the people above moving round and talking (although the people above us may just have been loud). The bathroom could do with brighter lighting as it was hard to do make up. Otherwise it was a lovely room and none of this would stop me returning.

Room was spotlessly clean but the mid-night light in the bathroom was overwhelming bright and made it difficult to get back to sleep. The staff are great but were rushed off their feet.

We were not informed that our £192 Superior Room plus dinner reservation did not guarantee a table in the restaurant even though we had booked a table. Instead we were seated at the back corner of the pub next to a large and noisy table. Had we been aware of this we would have gone elsewhere. Having complained our main courses were credited but that’s hardly the point. We wanted a lovely night / evening away but it didn’t deliver. We will not return.

A very cozy and lovely pub with beautiful rooms, in a beautiful location, and with fantastic food – a good selection of vegetarian dishes as well. Thank you so much for everything.

The only thing which let our stay down was the service at dinner. The food was fantastic but things like forgetting our wine until after we’d started our food. When the wine arrived it was already opened ( cork no where to be seen ) no invitation to taste and two glasses plonked down on the table. Not what you expect when you’re paying nearly £40 for a bottle of wine.

Fabulous staff, beautiful rooms and the location is just magical.
