City Centre Rooms in Apartment

The apartment was really clean and the interior is quite modern, which I like. The location is really close to the Piccadilly station.

No real negatives. Only thing I could advise is maybe putting some tape or nail polish on the keys so you don’t have to mess around with the keys in the evening when everything is quiet.

Having g a basic kitchen as I have food allergies. Futon style bed comfy. Not too noisy above the street.

Room numbers on doors. Curtains to fit window. Broken lift made getting out scary and delayed. Time taken to collect the key. Anonymous text communication. Weird. Door fittings very noisy.

Nothing. Horrible folk, couldn't check in as they were on a plane apparently. I'm disabled, they did not try to help me in any way. Had to book somewhere else because they wanted me to wait till 6pm!! To check in. The main reason I booked it was so that I had somewhere to rest earlier on in the day. Very unprofessional and border line nasty. No refund considering it was their fault I couldn't check in. No apologies. Very poor communication. Good luck if you decide to book. You might be waiting outside for hours.

Only got in touch with me on the day regarding documents needed. Liars. Horrible people. I stay away 100 days a year and this is the first time I've left a negative review in 5 years!

No access to refrigerator or microwave

From the very first moment we entered the room, it became clear that we had been seriously misled. Technically, the room had what you need for a night or two — but only if you’re two wild students looking to spice up your sex life. In any other case — this is not the place for you. As soon as I pulled back the blanket, some bugs either flew or ran out (I was too stressed to recall the details). The bed linen was covered in lint and felt unpleasant, though I *hope* it had at least been washed. There was only enough hot water for one person — the second had to settle for a freezing cold shower. The room itself had clearly seen better days and resembled a worn-out student dorm — which, frankly, it might actually be. While the building exterior is modern, the room behind that façade is a disappointment. If you're 18 or 19 and just need a place to crash without expecting much — this might work. Otherwise, you’d do well to find something better for the same price, which the city definitely offers. I truly hope I won’t make the mistake of booking such a poor option again. I tried to contact the hosts via WhatsApp to solve the hot water issue and also suggested they offer us some kind of compensation for the overall discomfort — but they didn’t even read my messages. When I wrote that we were leaving and wouldn’t be staying the second night, they finally read it — but still didn’t reply at all.

Great central location, 2-3 minute walk from Piccadilly train station & right in the heart of the shopping area & also easy to get around Manchester from here including COOP live. Easy to access, instructions were clear & consistent. Clean & modern ensuite room in apartment. Every type of bar & restaurant within walking distance.

I booked City Centre Rooms In Apartment months in advance with the hope of enjoying a relaxing stay in Manchester with my partner. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. To begin with, the check-in process was unnecessarily complicated and poorly communicated. When we finally gained access to the room, we were shocked by the unhygienic condition it was in. The bathroom and toilet were in a terrible state; clearly not cleaned after the last guest. The bin in the room was full, hair strands were scattered across the floor, and the bed sheets looked used and visibly dirty. There was no proper ventilation in the room, which posed a health concern, especially for my partner who began to panic due to the air quality. We had no choice but to urgently find and pay for alternative accommodation in the city centre, resulting in additional, unexpected expenses. To make matters worse, the customer service was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. It felt like the staff were more interested in getting away with offering substandard service than actually resolving our concerns. Sadly, they are able to continue operating in this manner because Booking.com appears to be lacking proper quality control and accountability in this case. The photos on their Booking.com listing are highly misleading and do not reflect the reality of what is on offer. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and I would strongly advise others to avoid this property until significant improvements are made.
