Stable Cottage, Bishops Castle

Perfect cottage for 2, lovely and quiet but close to town. Everything we needed for a short break, and even street parking was close and easy. The milk, cake and wine were a lovely welcome .

Ideal location to explore the town, and surrounding area.

Excellent communication from the host about accessing the property and providing a mobile contact number should any difficulties arise. On arrival the instructions provided were perfect and I was in the property within a minute of arriving.

Character cottage directly behind The Three Tuns brewery! You walk through the pub beer garden to access the cottage - despite the proximity of the brewery and pub there was no noise problem at all. The cottage has the bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor and living room/ kitchen on the first floor. The staircase is quite steep and could prove an issue if you are not mobile or steady on your feet- it was fine for us. The cottage is located in the centre of Bishop's Castle close to all facilities. Parking is unrestricted on street and we never had a problem finding a space. The cottage has everything you need for a self catering holiday.

Downstairs bedroom is quite cool- again for us that was preferable to it being too hot.

Flowers and cake and bottle of wine on arrival were generous and well received surprise. The proximity of pub and shops was a bonus. House well appointed.

The damp smell from washing machine unpleasant and toilet seemed to empty the water supply and therefore hot water was not flowing easily.
