GiangTien Homestay ThacBa - Bungalow

We had such a lovely stay with the family & their 2 dogs & 2 fluffy cats 😍 The room was perfect, we visited while it was freezing cold outside but we warmed up with the wood fire that was setup and the 2 blankets. There is hot water aswell and AC for warm days. The room was super clean, well maintained, spacious and the shower had decent pressure. There were 2 big terraces aswell and the owner had 2 boats for exploring the lake. Just ask for a trip to the cave and you'll be amazed how beautiful the environment is. The wife was pro chef, doing a hot pot for dinner and banh mi with omelette and veg for breakfast. Also we got to taste the fresh shrimp & fish from the lake due to father's fishing skills. Overwall it was an extraordinary experience and we decided to come back later on next year when the weather will be better. Lovely family & stay! ❤️❤️❤️

This is probably my favorite homestay I’ve stayed in! It’s my second time coming back and it was even better than the first time! Giang and his family are amazing and welcoming! The views and tranquility you get here are something everyone needs to see for themselves

Giang’s Homestay was so beautiful! There is so much beautiful wildlife and I’m never seen so many butterflies in my life! We ended up staying for a couple of extra days. We stayed 6 days in total. Giang helped us organise a bus to the Homestay from Hanoi and helped us organise our return back. The rooms were very clean! We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing on the lake. Giang offered to organise easy rider tours and treks. We were served an amazing spread of locally sourced food each night and happy water every night. We had fresh shrimp, duck, pumpkin, chicken, banana’s and watermelon. We ate every meal at the Homestay. Giangs family were so kind and hospitable during our stay. We hope to come back again. Staying with Giangs family was the highlight of our trip. We also are big cat lovers and enjoyed all the cuddles from Be and Thom!

Such a wonderful homestay in an idyllic location with the best, most delicious family dinner we've ever had. Was the perfect stop on the way back to Hanoi after our trip on the Ha Giang loop. We were even able to organize the boat trip around the lake in the morning which was very relaxing. Will definitely return for a longer stay next time!

The owner was amazing and the kid-daughter was a delight (she didn't know our language, but she was happy to play Uno with us. It was a blast).. We only stayed one night, but I would have loved to stay a full day here. If it fits the schedule, stay for two nights and ask about a boat tour on the lake

Giang and his family are very welcoming hosts. We stayed in a bungalow right by the lake. There are options for activities like a boat ride or kayaking, which are both highly recommended to take in the excellent views of the lake. We stayed for 2 nights, and the dinner was great both nights. Our room was comfortable, with a/c, a hot shower, and a soft bed.

A bit of a rough road to get here, but worth the drive.

A well deserved 10 for me. Giang and his family have made our stay memorable. Great location by the lake, with plenty activities to do (kayak, boat, motorbike rental, etc..). The meals were some of the best we experienced during our whole stay in Vietnam. Giang's family is lovely and our daughters will remember their days spent with Giang's children. Very friendly family run Great fresh food for dinner Quiet and pretty location Comfortable sleep After a long days ride we were warmly welcomed and had a very relaxed meal with the young family who own and run the property.

The dinner is amazing and the hosts are really nice people. If you're going between Hanoi and Ha Gaing you should stop here
