GiangTien Homestay ThacBa - Bungalow

The location on the rice paddies within the village farms was unbelievable. The whole family were so welcoming and did everything they could to provide us with what we needed. The bungalow was small but sweet, with mosquito net included and toasty hot water which was needed after a day on the bike. Our friend stayed in the shared room which was also cosy and comfy for him. Food was cooked by the family and it was absolutely beautiful - the fried pumpkin is my favourite thing I ate in Vietnam!Rice wine was shared between us all whilst we played card games and shared stories with the family. They have dogs and cats (and chickens, of course!) which are super friendly.

Wonderful farmstay with a very friendly family that welcomes you. 2 adorable cats and two cute dogs, beautiful views and a freshly cooked dinner made the experience special.

I had one of the bungalows water front. Room had mold smell. I left all windows opened during the night and slept with the provided bug net to compensate the smell. Otherwise really nice and clean.

Amazing Farmstay! The best accomodation we could ever book. Host incredibly thoughtful, willing to accommodate us with any of our needs. We did a loop boat tour with him on the lake, helped us to organise a trekking around the area and also to book our bus back to Hanoi. We stayed for two days and two nights and both food and breakfast were extremely tasty for a very reasonable price.

Price displayed is not relevant. Owners should state the meal costs prior to purchase as this was significant to the final bill and while the dinner was acceptable it came as a shock the actual price of the stay.

Hosts are really nice and welcoming. Beautiful, healthy and delicious supper. I am vegetarian, they prepared a good selection of vegetables, rolls and tofu. A lot of food. Price very reasonable for food. The landscape around are ricefields and mountains, beautiful, worth the detour.

The room was a little bit damp smelling but the air con helped.

Nice nature amidst the rice fields, practical and comfortable bungalows. Giang and his family are great hosts: we had a nice dinner with them and other guests and we enjoyed it very much!

One of the main highlights of our month in Vietnam! Perfect, tranquil location. Would love to see the transition of the farm and land over all the seasons. We visited in late January and it was gorgeous. Lovely family who welcomed us so wonderfully. We had the most delicious dinners prepared for us and we were invited to have a Vietnamese hotpot with the family on our second night which was such a treat. This is a proper homestay that every traveller looks for. Yen Bai is also the perfect stop off point between Hanoi and Ha Giang / Sapa. Definitely don't miss out on this hidden gem. Thank you!!!
