The Barn at Providence Cottage

A very good self contained property especially for couples out on leisure trip.

Finding the property was a bit tricky as you get the post code but the property itself doesn't seem to be numbered

The property had everything that one needed and was very handy

A quaint “barn” which had been thoughtfully modernised however its very very small and within the owners private garden.

It smelt overwhelmingly of mould and damp and it was so incredibly small we could barely move around, the photos did not represent how small this property is. Due to the location we had no mobile phone signal and the internet wasn’t working (we tried repeatedly to get it to work and this was our only way of contacting the owners) so we had to leave to get a signal (a few miles away to book alternative accommodation as there was no way us and out 2 dogs could stay here). The garden belongs to the main house and is not part of the booking only a “garden view” the owners have young children so our dogs would have had nowhere to have a toilet break. I did contact the owners with all my concerns who were defensive, unhelpful and refused to accept any of our issues. There is no space to relax/cook/chat or move around, this property would be more suitable as an air b & b let and not self catering accommodation.

We loved how quirky this cottage was, really comfortable and snug. Our 2 boys loved it.. Everything just... worked. Enough kitchen items to have home comforts. We seen the owners who seemed really nice to be honest. I'd definitely come back again no problem or even just us parents and no kids 😆

I think if anyone puts a negative about this place they'd have to be really picky customer as this is such great value for money

Lovely little barn, ideal for 2 adults and 2 small children. Clean and comfortable. Hosts kept in touch and provided further information when asked. We loved exploring the village and had a fantastic night at the club, with very friendly locals. Great value for money, will definitely re-visit.

It was a little difficult to find (especially in the dark). We arrived at the main house but was unsure of which entrance - clearer signage and a light when expecting guests may be useful.
